Games You Bought A Console For

Let's be realistic - game consoles are mainly for gaming, not for internet or watching movies, or whatever you can do with it nowadays. So what were the main games you bought a specific console for? Here's some of mine:

Sega Genesis - Golden Axe, Sonic
Xbox 360 - BioShock, Gears of War, FIFA 08
GBA - Wario Ware Inc.
Nintendo DS - Brain Training, Hotel Dusk, Wario Ware Touched!
Nintendo 3DS - Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Super Mario 3D Land

MLB 12: The Show, both Vita and PS3. There were no other games I was interested in that I couldn't have also had for the Xbox 360. And you know what? It was the best investment I ever made in my entire life.

I bought a Playstation 3 mainly to play Metal Gear Solid 4.... and then I never got around to playing it! I moved shortly thereafter, and my PS3 has been sitting in storage since then because I've been moving around a lot during that time.

Also, I always preferred the PS1, but eventually caved when the N64 hit $100 and I bought one to play Goldeneye.  I also completely fell into the hype surrounding the Xbox before its launch, and bought one at launch, along with Halo.  (I probably would've bought one anyway, but the insanely good reviews for Halo helped a lot.)  And lastly, the Saturn was the system that got me started as a collector..I bought one about a year after its death, mainly for NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Sega Dreamcast- Sonic Adventure. I saved up for months to buy the console after seeing that game on display at Electronics Boutique and all the other game stores.

Xbox 360-Sonic The Hedgehog 2006. No i'm not joking, at the time I had not read any reviews of the game(except for the one in Gameinformer, and since they never seemed to like 3-D Sonic games anyways, I took it with a grain of salt) so I was totally unaware of it's negative reputation.  I didn't regret my purchase one bit though, I had lots of fun with this game and was genuinely surprised to learn that many people hated it. Though had this game been released on the Wii like originally planned, I probably would've bought that instead as my last console was a Gamecube(which I bought for Metroid Prime among other games).

Genesis - NHL Hockey (I didn't think there would ever be a game as addicting as Ice Hockey for NES, I was wrong!)
Super Nintendo - Mortal Kombat II (I thought it looked much better than the Genesis version in magazines)
Saturn - Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop & Daytona USA (I spent a lot of time in arcades, and Sega was on fire at that time)
Nintendo 64 - Killer Instinct (although it was never released! Just KI Gold later, which was a modified version of KI2)
Playstation 2 - Tekken Tag Tournament & Burnout (skipped on the DC to wait for a PS2, these looked impressive/fun)
Dreamcast - Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter 3 & Daytona USA (the only system with VF3, and SC had very high ratings)
Xbox 360 - Street Fighter IV (the visuals practically jumped off the screen. It just blew my mind! Also liked the controller)
PS3 - Motorstorm & Killzone 2 (Enjoyed playing the Motorstorm demo at kiosks. And I loved the campaign in Killzone 1)
