The Twisted Farce that is the Evolution of 2d

Postby Jon1 » March 2nd, 2015, 8:53 pm

Let me correct you guys' mistakes as always. First off, Native wasn't a 4 second demo, it was a playable level. Second, you all claim that all these companies cared about was money and that's why they didn't put out 2d games. Well, if they cared about money, why didn't they come out with a 2d Super Mario game starring Mario from 1991-2006? Every single one has been a top 5 seller for its respective systems. Again, I said I wouldn't bold, but you guys can't seem to answer my questions. And you guys' assertions that no one wanted 2d in 1995 but everyone wanted it in 2006 and that's why it came back (with New Super Mario Bros.) is bogus. If anything, with 3d technology getting better and better over the years, the demand for 2d should be less and less. Again, someone answer the question in bold please.

Fair enough. If all these companies cared about money, as all of you guys claim, why wasn't there a singe CONSOLE 2d Super Mario game starring Mario from 1991-2006, when every single one had been a top 5 system seller, and every one has since too. I want an answer.

You do realize that Super Mario 64 was the best selling N64 game, and Sunshine was a top-5 selling Gamecube game, right?

You're always right and everyone else is wrong. No matter what. No. Matter. What.

God this is pathetic.

This is how the OP's threads read:

OP: here is my question. I demand an answer!!
Us: here are our educated guesses. However, some of us may disagree with you.
OP: nope, nope, you are all wrong. Geez, what idiots!! I'm done with you losers! (Goes off to make another thread)

Regarding the 2D Mario's, it's because 3D was hot, hot, hot, baby!! It became a 3D race, and 2D was kind of forgotten. But then it resurfaced, and people loved it. But, people in general love all things Mario, because the fun factor on those is usually above average and that franchise has credibility.

This is an odd thread to be honest.

After reading this, or at least what i could.
This seems like nothing but a drama filled rant,
that no matter what anyone says, you are always
wrong.
