I think it might be Mario Kart Wii. I played it recently with a few buddies of mine, and my God the level design and motion controls are even more fantastic than I remembered. Using bikes and playing multiplayer handles like a dream as well. So much damn fun.
It's between Wii and 7 in my mind, with 7 a close second. Never was a huge fan of MK64 (as you all may know by now), haven't really played DD, love the DS version and Super Circuit, never played the original.
Double Dash was the best Mario Kart...
