I haven't seen any coverage yet, looking forward to seeing Driveclub, Uncharted 4 and Destiny the PS4 big hitters. I think the system is really going to kick into gear in the next 6 months rather like the Wii U is now.

Actually, Project Spark comes from Kodu. Kodu was an Xbox Live Indi "game" you could buy in 2009 for $5. MS created it as a means to teach grade school kids simple ways to program their own games. You could make whatever you wanted, although with pretty simple graphics if I recall.
Little Big Planet came out in 2008. You can argue LBP came out first but keep in mind, LBP ran on a 2D plane. Kodu was a 3D world to build your own stuff with in. I haven't played LBP 2 to see what all you could do, maybe, they expanded it quite a bit from the first LBP game. Regardless, Kodu was already in a 3D world before LBP2 arrived. LBP was meant to entertain. Kodu was meant to teach.
I don't think anyone cares but Media Molecule (maker of LBP) were former Peter Molyneux co-workers at Lionhead before leaving to start work on LBP. They wanted to work on a game that allowed for a lot of shared content. Peter did not. Hence, they left to go work on it. This was (I think) after MS acquired Lionhead. So, just think, Sackboy could have had a Master Chief helmet.![Tongue - :p [tongue]](/images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif)
I checked out the beta for Project Spark a few months ago. They had a pretty sweet game of Tetris on it. It's actually pretty cool stuff. I'm looking forward to it.
As for the conferences I watched the Xbox one in full last night. Sunset Overdrive looks awesome. I'll checkout Sony's and Nintendo's shows this evening.
Dismissing Project Spark as a rip-off of Little Big Planet is incredibly silly if you ask me, the titles don't appear to have anything in common whatsoever beyond being able to create stuff.
Are you aware of the HUGE online community of gamers who have developed some amazing mini-games and custom-made levels from the user tools in the LBP games? There are people who have made first-person shooters, fighting games, car racing games, mimicked many classic arcade games, and even developed many Mario & Sonic inspired clones.

Nobody thrilled me, but I saw a little bit from each that intrigued me that leaves me wanting to learn more.
Just realized that for the first time, there's no retail 3DS releases in the release calendar that interest me. Hopefully Sega brings Afterburner and Outrun over to the North American eShop along with whatever else they hopefully release this year, but that's about it as it stands today and they're not even confirmed for North America.
I can't wait for Zelda U next year.

Wow I must say I am not impressed. The same old same old same old. Really this is all you can come up with?
Did anyone see Fable Legends.... wow... Fable Diabalo. A new Tomb Raider big deal. Sunset overdrive was Jet set radio meets Lolly pop chainsaw.
What this is all we are going to get? Ps4 get the order that looks great but not worth getting a ps4 for. Nintendo do exactly the same as they always do. Wow another Zelda game.
Okay yeah Halo collection but I already have all those games. I am still saying bring on the WOW.

If you own a Wii U , great E3.
I think we should get a community together to make some Mario levels, could be a fun group project.
I have not seen all of what was announced, but what I have seen looks really good. 'Nintendo Skylanders' is not Skylanders after all, which is great news. Zelda U has an amazing art style, looks really cool. Nintendo brings games and gameplay

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people have been wondering whether Link is a girl in Zelda Wii U. Honestly, why does it even matter? I mean, it's already been established that there are different Links. Honestly, most Links are different from one another anyways, so who cares if one of them is a girl. Honestly, I think it's awesome if this is true. I never thought about Link's gender, but the more I think about it, the more I think it'd be really cool to save Hyrule as a female Link. A badass female hero that saves Hyrule? Count me in!
Also, people have been speculating whether or not you actually play as Zelda. Again, I think it would be awesome if Zelda was the protagonist that saves the day rather than being the damsel in distress yet again.
The game itself looks amazing, by the way.
Also, I said honestly a lot.

I watched the Sony press conference yesterday. I wasn't really planning to but I didn't have anything else to do so I did. Little Big Planet 3 looked pretty decent. I especially liked the addition of other playable characters besides Sackboy. I liked the dog character in particular because wall-jumping is cool.
Intertwined looks like a really fun game. I'd like to see that get a compilation release with some other PSN games in the vein of Journey Collector's Edition and Best of Playstation Network Vol. 1.
Mortal Kombat X looks really cool. I'm glad they showed off Scorpion in the trailer because he's my favorite character. And it looks like he got some sweet new moves. Also the new character they showed off, the one that throws a little girl at people, looks like a pretty neat character.
I'm not a fan of FPS games but I'm a still a sucker for zombie games. When I first heard of The Order: 1886, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it and wrote it off as just another shooter that I'll never want to play. Then I saw the E3 trailer. There was a man kneeling down eating another man and I thought "Oh. I didn't know this was a zombie game." And then the guy stood up and transformed and I thought "Ok. So it's a game about slightly taller, fuzzy zombies?" And then by the end of trailer, I really had no idea what the game was about. But I'm glad that I watched it because now I'm interested.
I didn't really care about the rest of the presentation. I just skipped through all the parts where they were talking about TV and internet. Oh but they're remaking The Last of Us! Ya know... because a 1 year old game totally needs a remake, right?

I watched the Nintendo Direct and Treehouse event and... wow. Just wow. That was an impressive lineup. I get the feeling I'm gonna be using the word "amazing" a lot so I'll just forego that and list all of the games from this conference that I would say are amazing. Hyrule Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10, Yoshi's Woolly World, Bayonetta 2, Zelda Wii U, Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.
I'm glad that we have some more information on Hyrule Warriors. I was expecting to get Zelda as a playable character but did not expect to see Midna in the game. That made me happy because Midna is one of my favorite Zelda characters. I'm glad that we got her in her imp form and not her human form. I also think Zelda looks pretty cool with her new design. She kind of reminds me of a valkyrie or something. Other than those two, it looks like there's about 5 more characters yet unannounced.
I absolutely loved the Toad brigade captain levels from Super Mario 3D World so I'm really excited to see that Nintendo is making an entire game out of it.
Splatoon is a game that totally took me by surprise. It's no secret that I'm not a fan of shooters but this game looks like tons of fun. The only downside is that I got the impression that it's going to be online multiplayer only. I really hope there will be split-screen and single-player modes or else I may end up not getting it at all.
The Smash Bros. news was pretty cool. I don't really care about being able to play as Miis but I'm glad they put Palutena and Pac-man in the game. I can't wait to see who else joins the fray.
I think we should get a community together to make some Mario levels, could be a fun group project.
That's a pretty swell idea, Segatarious. Honestly, I've never cared for those "build-your-own-game" games and I wasn't impressed with what I saw of Mario Maker during the Nintendo Direct. But when I saw them showing it off during the Treehouse presentation I thought it looked a lot more fun and now I'm kinda interested. It's not really at the top of my list of Wii U games to pick up but I think I will get it at some point.
The last thing I want to mention is the Amiibo figures. It's a cool idea. I'm not really interested in games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity but I'm interested to see how Nintendo integrates their figures into their games. I may end up never using them for anything but I kinda feel like I want to buy them and collect them anyway.
Nintendo's conference was just awesome all around. It was very entertaining to watch with the Robot Chicken intermissions and the Reggie/Iwata fight. Nintendo easily won E3 this year in my opinion. There was just one glaring omission from their presentation that kept it from being perfect. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. I was sure they would talk about it but I was sadly mistaken. Well, E3's not over yet. They still have time to show it off, right? Right? Nintendo? Atlus? Somebody? ...Please?

Nintendo is just all about fun. Their games are bright, stark contrast to most of what else is shown.
Look at Ubisoft, swearing and low brow trash, their entire conferences - that's sad. Tells you all you need to know about 'adult gaming' and game art. Also Nintendo always shows in game footage, not CGI, and they show off game play, not cut scenes, primarily. And their games are so polished, you know they will deliver.
I normally do not do too much with user generated content (save for advance wars) but this has me interested. And the fact that they showed graphics from 8 bit Mario to Current gen Mario give me hope all major Mario art styles, enemies and items will be in the final product. If Mario 3 is there, that's what I will be using!
Major 3DS game announcement tonight! Right now I am totally focused on Wii U , we shall see what this game is....
