and the funny thing about it ... is that Ubisoft could be the systems saviour with their Watchdogs game coming out later in the year. Well saviour against the kiddie games.

What is adult about it? It will do nothing on Wii U because A: it is already released and used up, and B, Wii U has much better games to buy.
Look at this Ubisoft 'masterpiece' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmXyOnJAyko
Forgive Ubisoft, all's it is is one big manchild CG film. Oh, the French Revolution, told in the stupidest way possible. If you want to use the words 'childish', 'derivative', 'rehash', about E3 this year, go right ahead - there is your game.
Imagine a game industry without Nintendo around, the one company that actually focuses on gameplay.....

I'm sorry if I sound like a jerk, but I hate the term kiddie. As if games like Mario can only be enjoyed by kids. Personally, I don't care who the hell the game is marketed towards as long as it's FUN.

I got a Vita and I don't feel "burned" at all, that's just nonsense.
Don't try and speak for everyone else, others were dissapointed by the Gamepad.
I don't care about the Wii U being "underpowered", but I do care about it's lack of compelling looking titles at the moment, put it this way, i'll get a PS4 before I get a Wii U.
Don't see how EA and Ubisoft are treating people like "bozo's" with their marketing, that makes no sense.
bar one game these are just remakes of old themes.
So you didn't mean they had only one new game at E3 but only one new franchise? Ok. You're still wrong. Splatoon, Devil's Third, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Mario Maker, Project Giant Robot, and Project Guard are not sequels to any previous games and they are a bit more than just one new game.

Yep X the only good incoming game on the Wii U. Talking about it is fine I want to see the game running.
Xenoblade Chronicles X and X are the same game. Xenoblade Chronicles X is the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles. I don't know how else to explain this to you. If you had watched the Nintendo Treehouse events, you would have seen the game running. They were playing it for a few hours.
You can be unsatisfied with Nintendo. That's fine. And you can hate on them all you want. I'm not taking it personally. But can you at least try and get your facts straight?

The Wii U is knocking out better games but it has massive gaps in its library which will continue to leave it behind it's competitors mass market games such as sports games and FPS's these games are popular and sell bucketloads. Systems NEED sports games, I buy at least 2 Soccer games per generation. Almost everyone I know will at some point buy a sports game.
I want a FIFA or PES game, hell I probably need one because I love soccer games. And Wii U and to be brutally honest all previous Nintendo consoles do not cater well for this large market. That's why I think Nintendo consoles normally end up being peoples 'second consoles'.

Don't take it personally I just was not blown away by nintendo and their reliance on colourful (I noted what Logan said) games.
I am happy that you are happy with Nintendo. I do not hate Nintendo I was just looking for a new Metroid game. Perhaps them getting Turok and dusting it off for another exclusive title to wipe away the memory of the last game. Remember when Turok was the game on N64? I had a PS1 and my pal had a 64 and I loved the control system. I ended up buying a N64 to play Turok and bought a whole lot more.
Well thanks for clearing up what X was. I finally thought that Nintendo were going to produce a good RPG. I HATE yep HATE Zelda games. I am not even keen on FF anymore. I love Skyrim and think it would be great if they could produce one of those type of games and thought X might be like that. So now there is even less reason for me to get the Wii U. Way to go Nintendo.

You have to admire Nintendo's dedication to Wii U
I'm a Nintendo fan, and I plan on buying the Wii U by the end of the year (hopefully by the time Bayonetta 2 comes out), but I think not abandoning the Wii U is just as much as a shrewd business decision as being an admirable thing to do.
Had Nintendo thrown in the towel on a main console so early on (as opposed to the Virtual Boy, which was a weird experiment from the beginning that didn't follow either their console line or portable line), they would have lost the trust of both the people who already purchased it and that of prospective buyers. Putting out a gaming console is akin to signing an unspoken contract with the public that you continue to provide content for it over an undetermined but significant period of time - at least 5 years, I'd say, and preferably more. It would be an uphill battle to get people to buy your next console if you can't even support your current one for a full two years.
I think Nintendo should consider making their next console a hybrid - something that you can pick up and play like a portable, and then sit in front of the TV and plug a controller into. They've done this before with add-ons for the Super Nintendo and the Gamecube, but I wonder if it would be possible to integrate them from the very beginning, so that the consumer can buy one machine and get the full experience. I don't know what the cost of something like this would be, but since Nintendo has already established that they're comfortable with graphics that are a little less state-of-the-art already, maybe the cost wouldn't be all that crazy. Otherwise, they may just consider sticking with their strengths and going all-portable.

@velcor: To add to what you said, of course it's shrewd for them to keep going. Maybe Nintendo is selling Wii Us at a loss, I dunno...but they have to try to keep going with everything dug in lest they go the way of Sega. And who wants the last company that respects offline gamers to belly-up and go third party (Okay okay they do still have handhelds for now).
That said,I find this title ironic given how few ads you see for the Wii U, plenty for the 3DS/2DS but not the Wii U.
