Sony re releasing The Last of Us - one year later? What?
MS has Halo Collection - well, at least a lot of content in that one.
Nintendo has a Pokemon game, and ironically there is an 'outcry' over no Majora's Mask 3DS announcement.
How do you feel about this? Good, bad, indifferent? It this the stop gap strategy of this generation, fill in games so you can wait until the new game arrives?
How do you fell about all the re-releases these days?

Hollywood re-releases masterpieces all the time, many times multiple times on one format. They re-release less than great stuff multiple times too. And sell it again to TV networks. And sell it again to Netflix. Re-releasing a few games on a new format seems like something only the game market could consider strange. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm reading a new soft cover version of a book originally released in hard cover 30 years ago. This time it has an introduction by the authors son!

I'm a little bit apprehensive that Sony and MS seem to just be re-releasing old games with updated graphics for their new consoles. It is probably because it doesn't take nearly as long to update the graphics and throw a few other perks into a game versus making a whole new game from scratch. Hopefully, this fad dies after the first year and we start to see a bigger list of new titles.
I guess what ever holds PS4/Xbox One owners over til the real releases hit.

The Master Chief Collection is an example of doing it right.
Well Majoras Mask has a strong following, the apprehension is expected. A lot of fan bases can be apprehensive to anything.

I agree Sega it really is bad what Nintendo are doing. Remakes upon remakes. Zelda anyone? Nintendo making yet more weary mario party games. You are right I agree with you Nintendo are DOOMED for their reliance on remaking old games. I bet they wish they had a superior title like Titanfall to fall back on.

I like them, I see no problem if they are good games. Games like films should be rereleased for new audiences to appreciate.

For all the flak that Segatarious gets, there wasn't really anything wrong with his post here so there is no need for the baiting.
The number of remakes does is arguably getting to saturation point, but I am as much of a sucker for them as anyone. Going back 20+ years, who was complaining about Mario All Stars? Certainly not me.

I wish that when they re-released games, they'd change things up a bit. Like same gameplay, same items, but different maps, different level designs. Ocarina of Time (Oot) and Wind Waker were both pretty much the exact same games with better graphics. Why not give us a second quest? I know that Oot gave us the Master Quest on the 3DS, but they had already released that on the Gamecube many years ago. So really, very little was new about it.

Really, set the viewer back to the Cube days ... Resident evil anyone?
Rather than leading on Nintendo Sega has a dig at Sony then MS .... then about crappy pokeman... not a word about that tosh Zelda... and I hated the cell shaded cutesy game the first time round...
Lead by example.... they must have been working on the last of us since the other one was released so it is not much of a remake... plus ubisoft did remake Deus ex... effectively starting the trend... well them and Nintendos star fox...

I'm cool with re-releases as long as they're reasonably priced and preferably have some new and/or improved content.
