[QUOTE=Vexer]Pacguy19-Well then why did you bring them up then?[/QUOTE]

You're further validating the point I made above...

I thought 2005-2006 were pretty good years, 1995-1996 wasn't the best period, but hardly worst either.

I think it's incredibly silly and nonsensical to say a new console had "no business" to launch, the 360 and Xbox both had some great games during that period like: BLACK, Rainbow Six: Critical Hour, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Perfect Dark Zero, Gears Of War, Crackdown, Saints Row, Advent Rising, Battlefield 2, Cold Fear, Cold War, Crime Life: Gang Wars, Dead To Rights 2, Doom 3, GTA: San Andreas, Fatal Frame 2, Half Life 2, Mercenaries, NARC, OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath, Obscure, Psi-Ops, The Punisher, Serious Sam 2, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Driver: Parallel Lines, Hitman: Blood Money, Final Fight: Streetwise, Just Cause, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Scarface: The World Is Yours, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Dead Rising, F.E.A.R., Rainbow Six Vegas, Tomb Raider: Legend, and many more.

Nickelback are FAR from the worst band that has ever existed, i'm guessing you've never heard Justin Bieber, Maroon 5 or One Direction, I dare you listen to them and tell me that Nickelback is worse.

Yeah, the Xbox had great games...which is exactly the point I was making.

The 360 in 2005 had a mix of terrible and mediocre ones like Perfect Dark Zero.

Forum user A: Hey Forum User B, what are some good games for System X?

B: *Consults Metacritic...Lists every game with a review score above 70 for System X* [comp]

---

Forum user C: Hey Forum User B, what kind of music do you like?

B: Nickelback! You should listen to them! They're not the worst band you could possibly listen to! I can name at least a handful that are far, far worse! They're so not completely terrible[love]

ptdebate- I fail to see your point, whether certain games are "mediocre" as a matter of opinion, and IMO Perfect Dark Zero is a pretty good game. Also I didn't list THAT many games, there's several I could've listed but left off.

There's really no need for sarcasm, it's not clever or funny in this instance at all[rolleyes]

I can easily name dozens and dozens of bands that are FAR worse then you know who, but I didn't want to make two long lists in one post.

You're still going on about people not liking Nickelback?

Thread derailment at its finest.

But seriously, half the games you listed were mediocre at best. Personal enjoyment out of a game and objective quality are two different things. Stop equating them.

It's an understandable failure, since you seem to misunderstand the meaning of "opinion." You may hold the incorrect "opinion" that you write with acceptable grammar. I would respond with the correct "opinion" that, in fact, a comma is required both before and after the "IMO" clause, that you ought to have typed "is" rather than "as," and that the sentence beginning "There's really" is a run-on.

Sure, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Not all opinions are equal though.

As for Perfect Dark: what do we thing, VGC Forum-goers? Is it "pretty good" or does the consensus lean more in the direction of "mediocre in every way"?

The single player is mediocre or bad in my opinion. I quit playing it before completing it, I know that. Way too many cut scenes, and really poor quality and generic through out.

I thought the mulitplayer was pretty fun. The updated Bond levels looked good. Some of the weapons got too 'techy'; for my tastes, but there was a lot of fun to be had with PD mulitplayer.

Reason: juvenile nonsense.

By the way, everyone--we were talking about Perfect Dark Zero. I forgot to add the "Zero" in that last post [tongue].

Pacguy19- Whether half of those games are "mediocre" is merely your opinion not a fact, i'm not equating anything to objective equality here so I have no idea what you're going on about.

Ptdebate- Perfect Dark Zero's score on Metacritic is 81, so i'd say the majority think it's a pretty good game or at least a decent one.
