I thought it was pretty blah again.

Really only the games that you would expect received a kind of 'good' discount, and that is nothing special. I suppose hardware bundles were ok, but that was more of buy an expenisve bundle and get a couple of games, rather than any deep price cuts. I did not go out (it would take a lot) and bought nothing online. I have a feeling there will be some good sales on software mid to late December again.

I am sick of Bleck Friday, it gets dumber each year, and it seems like the bargains are less each year. Or did you do well?

i didnt go out in the crazyness, i refuse to, but i do know
a lot of newer games were crazy cheap, i know evil within
and quite a few others were 24.99.
So there were definetly some good game sales, but that
much madness isnt worth it to me lol.

I hate Black Friday. I wish it could be done away with forever. At least it reminds us the true meaning of Christmas is that Santa sent his son Rollback to die for our deals.

I really wanted to go shopping on Black Friday and I woke up super early, but as I was brushing my teeth I remembered that I had a soul.

I personally refuse to take part. There are six days where I refuse to leave the house for anything but family gatherings: Thanksgiving, the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year's Day. Actually, I won't go out on 12-26 either. Holidays are sacred to me, and I refuse to cheapen them with the tackiness of commercialism.

I'm glad that you started this thread, because it leads to another question: is this commercialism ruining Christmas for our generation? I ask because I have two close friends who both HATE Christmas because they believe that it symbolizes the worst aspects of our culture. We're willing to trample people, get in fist fights, rip things from the hands of strangers, all so we can get something at a reduced price. What does that say about people, or how they really see Christmas? Honestly, I love Christmas, and I think a lot of that has to do with ignoring the ugliness of "events" like Black Friday.

What do you guys think?

You can get a Windows Smartphone (Lumia 520) with a bunch of above-core features for less than fifty dollars online, and yet Black Friday is relevant.

Websites like Flipkart have a wealthy stock of products, yet people camp in front of Wal-Mart.

Not everyone has the internet but even at a Ramen Noodle budget you can still get limited internet for a decent price just to shop online for Black Friday.

Flock of the idiots.

There's no way i'm going to risk getting stomped to death by going shopping on black Friday, no thanks. It's way safer and less stressful to just shop online.

Don't hate the holiday, but I sure as hell feel sorry for all the employees that have to deal with the chaos.

I didn't think this year's deals were all that great. The Xbone with two Assassin's Creed games for $320 wasn't bad...if you liked Assassin's Creed games...

PS4 with two games for $400...still too pricey for me. Maybe next year.

Some of the "Lightening Deals" on Amazon weren't bad. The only thing I got was the DC Scribblenauts game for Wii U. Ten bucks didn't seem bad.

I don't think commercialism is really ruining Christmas and I don't think going out cheapens the holidays, hell my family almost never celebrates Thanksgiving at home because my mother HATES making dinner for that occasion as it's far too much work, so it's much easier for everyone to just go out to a restaurant to celebrate it instead.

In the past i've gone to see movies on Christmas Eve and this year i'll probably go see either "The Interview" or American Sniper.

Those kinds of people who push others aside don't need holidays for an excuse to get into a fistfight, they'll do it whether it's black friday or not.

So no I absolutely do not believe for one second that Christmas symbolizes the "worst aspects" of our culture in the least.

Went to Target and Walmart with high hopes of finding some really good deals on newer 360 or PS3 games. But ended up not seeing anything worthwhile, which is sad since there's always been a few must have grabs in previous years.

What I did end up finding though, was 4 good games in the $5 pre-owned bin at Walmart. I was a little skeptical of buying pre-owned games at Walmart since I am usually pretty anal about the condition of my games. But I opened them all up and they looked just like new! So I will be checking the pre-owned section more often!

The games that I bought for $5 each were...
Blaz Blue Continuum Shift Extend (360)
Battlefield 3: Limited Edition (360)
Playstation Move Heroes (PS3)
MAG (PS3)
