Celebrity Endorsed Games

Maybe I'm weird, but I base my opinions of celebrities STRONGLY on games they endorse. For example I was a Mike Tyson fan growing up, but after Punch Out I was a huge fan of his. He's the greatest! Shut your mouth Muhammad! I gotta give props to Muhammad for being in a Different Strokes episode though so he's still awesome. Plus I agree with some of his political views. I'll bet the Critic is a Dana Plato fan. Right? I was indifferent about Jack Nicklaus, but after his Turbo Grafx game I still curse his name. I liked Fighting Golf on the NES so Lee Trevino is A-OKAY by me.
The worst villain of video games is Michael Jordan. Granted I'm a Pistons fan, but that's no reason to hate the man, right. But MJ gave me much better reasons to hate on him. For years he refused to be apart of the awesome NBA Live & NBA Jam games. Jerk! Then he finally appears in a game & its that awful SNES game. You suck MJ!
Since I was too smart to buy Shaq Fu I can't really hate on him for endorsing such an awful game. If anything I feel embarrassed for him. He should really be ashamed of himself for that mess.
I think celebrities get too much of a free pass for endorsing video games. If they endorse an awful game nobody seems to want to hold them to some accountability. I know they just get a check & have nothing to do with the actual game, but I don't think that's an excuse I will accept. If a celebrity endorses a bad product in general I think the media will razz him a bit, but with games who cares. I think that intertwines with the bigger issue that video game culture gets no respect. Its just kiddie toys so who cares if the product sucks.
