VGC forum game trading section

There was an attempt not too long ago to revive this board games trading section, to no avail sadly. I'd say there's a good level of trust among members, we get along very well, and I'd really like to see this section come back. What do you guys think? With all the changes of late, this might be a good time to implement this back I should think.

Seconded. As a newcomer to these forums I'm still feeling my way about a bit but for someone like me, where I'm only hanging around on the one forum (in terms of posting and such) this would be the place I'd want to conduct the occasional trade. Seems a small community of decent people who also have a broad range of taste in both newer and older games. Just the sort of environment for finding the occasional obscure item.

I have often wondered why there is no sale/trade section here. Would be cool as I have seen various threads posted in random sections with items for sale.

I suggested this a few years back. I think the VGC mentioned he tried it once, but there was either little activity or legal reasons. But I think the idea is wonderful. I'd have to get to know the person and get their phone number. But I'd trade with someone like Scotland in a second. Props to you Scotland!

I'm trying to think of games I'd really like. But I don't have anything super valuable. A few hidden gems in the $50-$100 range. But you could also send a "lot" of games for a special title or even a console.

I like and trust all of you, but unfortunately I think the community is too small here for the idea to work. At a bigger forum, like say Atari Age, there are enough people with a broad enough range of interests for the idea to work well. I don't think we have that here. The small group is great for discussions, since we all know each other, but the small community doesn't work for trading. It'll be a bunch of people posting games no one is interested in, or seeking games no one has to sell. Sure, early on you might get a sympathy buy or two, but then the idea will quietly die off.

I did try this a few years back. It generated a few exchanges but then it just kind of petered out.
I might be willing to give it another go, but frankly I don't think it would last.
