Did You Use Cheat Codes?

Have you (or do you) ever used cheat codes on video games? Were they funny cheats, like big head mode, or actual cheating cheats that make the game easier? I always used the "get everything" cheat on Tak and the Power of Juju when I was a kid. Even back then, when I didn't have any real standards for video games, I didn't want to go back to levels I'd already explored to find 100 of this, or 200 of that. That just isn't fun.

I used to have a rule, no cheat codes until a I beat the game if I owned it. However, if it was a rental than any and all cheat codes were fair game including the use of a Game Genie on NES games.

I don't really have a set rule on cheat codes but they are also something I don't use too often. It really depends on the game. I used to have all the GTA 3 cheats memorized, like tank, weapons, etc. I think pretty much everyone who owned the game back then used those codes to basically go on murder sprees and see how far you could get without getting caught by the police. I've also used cheats, like the Konami code, to help get through games like Contra. If I use cheats to help me beat a game it is almost always after I realize that I need some extra assistance to beat the game. I usually don't resort to them though.

I also used an invincibility cheat in the PSP port of of Medieval. That game was freaking hard!

I only use them if the game is too frustrating to get through by normal means, I used invincibility cheats to get through Torrente because of how many one-hit kill enemies there were in that game and it was considerably more fun as a result, also used invincibility cheats for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on 360.
