Stealth or Combat?

A lot of games lately are giving you the choice to either fight or sneak your way through the levels. Which option do you like more? Personally, I like stealth. When it's done well, I find stealthily taking out the enemies much more satisfying than just running in guns blazing. The Arkham games are great examples of this.

I guess it really depends on my mood on whether I find combat more enjoyable then stealth. When I really get into a game I prefer stealth over combat, especially if the game lends itself well to the stealth format. I love the strategy that games like that have. However, if I'm playing a game for some pick up and play action I definitely prefer combat all the way.

I generally prefer combat as it tends to be more fun in games like the Far Cry series, though in the Hitman series it is satisfying to set up environmental kills.
