Mod. Edited: Profanity. Please refrain from using profanity. A swear word with an asterisk in it is still a swear word and not allowed in these forums. Thanks.
Indeed, if you're a business it makes sense to try and accommodate everyone rather then alienating people(which is precisely why Indiana's so called "Religious Freedom" act, which would've allowed business to openly refuse to serve gay people was such a crock)

Yes, let's not give businesses options. Let's be like the soviets and tell them what to do with their businesses!
I dated a chick from Illinois years ago Laura, and she had that same mindset......she was irritating. But please Vexer, keep that out of this :3

See this is that line I was talking about. I don't see that as any different from refusing to serve a black person, and I'm sure our grandchildren will look back on that sort of discrimination the same way we look back at discrimination against black people.

Re: Political Correctness
Te Soviet comparison is utterly ridiculous, segregating people from businesses just because of their sexuality is not justifiable under any circumstances(and i'm sure there are people in Indiana just itching to ban minorities from businesses just like during the Civil Rights era) and it's cost Indiana a ton of money already, as mayors of several major cities have banned state funded travel there and many businesses have cancelled planned expansions in Indiana as a result of this.
So that clearly shows that it's good business to try and not to be a jerk and refuse to serve people for no reason at all.

There's quite a bit of difference from allowing businesses to have their freedoms and allowing them to blatantly discriminate. What's next, are you going to say that businesses should be allowed to sexually harass their employees or only pay them 25 cents an hour? After all, we don't want to be like the Soviets. We don't want to tell them what to do with their businesses. Let's give them those options.

You don't like PC, but yet you run a forum that enforces censorship, which in turn promotes PC. Think about that for a moment.

I think that the VGC wants his forums to be about gaming and not to be overrun by other topics- as well as a place where (typically) gamers can get along and discuss games. While I don't necessarily agree with his stance on not allowing veteran members the ability to post without approval, I understand what he's aiming for. For the most part 99.5% of the posts from main members go through, it is usually things that are obvious attacks on other members that the moderators disapprove/edit the posts.
Whether that leads to "PC" or not, I guess that is all a matter of opinion. When I think of PC I think of people being careful of what they are saying because they're afraid to either being taken in a bad light. Having the VGC place guidelines on his forum doesn't really promote PC. Instead, it helps keep the forum about the topics that he's passionate about- video games.
Could we still have this by allowing posts go through- I believe we could, however I get where he's coming from.

The moderators are here to keep the forums family-friendly and keep the spammers and trolls at bay. Not to stifle discussion.
We get all sorts of opinions here and I actively invite people to critique my reviews.
If you want uncensored commentary, check out the comments on any YouTube video. Have fun.

By the way, I noticed the moderators are already on the edge of locking down this thread because certain people are already using personal attacks and profanity. Keep it civil guys!

Dave, this thread is KEY EXAMPLE of what you were bringing up. One single comment that goes against what's politically correct, and this happens. It's actually quite funny that some people who agreed with you went AGAINST the very thing you said.
Great threat dave! xD
