Can someone provide me with the contact information for the person who runs racketboy?
I believe his name is Jason.
If any of you are active on his site, maybe you can encourage him to respond.

If he hasn't contacted you back via. email you might try and contact him through the Racketboy forum. I believe he is the user racketboy.

Re: Plagiarism?
I'm happy to report that Racketboy has replied to my concerns and is taking corrective action. They are being very cool about it.
I asked them to remove the Astal and Zillion reviews right away, and reserved the right to request further removals/edits in the future. I don't plan on sifting through their reviews but if anybody notices other racketboy reviews that bear a striking similarity to mine, please bring it to my attention (in this thread or via email).
Racketboy is a reputable site and I'm sure they will address any appearance of impropriety.
In the meantime, I want to thank all of YOU for looking out for me and the site. Situations like this are distressing, but when readers come to my defense it makes all the effort I put into the site seem worthwhile.

DaHeckIzDat wrote:Are your reviews copyrighted, Critic? If you're not aware, there are some very simple ways to do so without having to pay for it. For starters, you could just put (c)VideoGameCritic, or (c)YourName, and as long as the review is strictly your own property, that's a legal copyright. If you want to take it a step further, though this might be taking it a little far, you can print out your reviews before they go up, seal them in an envelope and mail them to yourself. Don't open the envelope, and if the need arises that's usually all the proof you'll need to prove that the work belonged to you before the other person revealed it.

The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a “poor man’s copyright.” There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration.
It's easy to fake and there is no way of confirming. It might work in grade school, high school, or the movies, but not in any serious situation.

The Astal review is still there and appears unchanged from before as of this posting.

Re: Plagiarism?
Nick from racketboy got back to me. He said the changes were made for those two reviews and apologized for the delay.
He also said to let me know if I need anything else, so if you all see any other infractions please let me know
Thanks!

I am seeing two different versions of this statement between the desktop and mobile site: I think the desktop site may need to be updated.

Re: Plagiarism?
Critic, it does appear that Racketboy completely removed the Astal review from the original page you linked us to-- however, check this out:
http://www.racketboy.com/retro/best-und ... turn-games
On that page, they directly quote your entire review. However, they do give full credit to you, and link to your page. For our future reference, what's your position on this?
Also, as a result of this, now I think it's clear that they ripped off your review in the one that you found before.
