Is it okay to use Game Glitches?

So I've been utilizing a lot of glitches to make leveling up/increasing stats easier in FF7. I've found out how to duplicate sources in FF7 (items that increase base stats) so I can gather 99 at a time. It got me thinking about what other people find acceptable when playing a game. Glitches often can be taken advantage of to make your character stronger (in fighting games) or make leveling up much faster. What are your guys opinion on utilizing glitches in games? Do you think that it shouldn't be done since that isn't the way the game was designed? Are certain instances more acceptable then others? Does it ruin the fun of a game?

Good question and I have another example of how it can actually make a game fun. In Desert Fox for the Channel F if you rotate the turret twice quickly you can 'bend' a shot around a barrier thus increasing the strategy and adding variety to the game.
Desert Fox is a Combat style game I would say clone but it came out before Combat.

This video shows/explains it better:
