The Video Game Critic

I'm new to this site and am doing research for the school i'm going to and trying to link a current review rating to ratings prior to the '83 crash. I was curious what the difference was between the Grade and the Reader's Grade is? Secondly trying to understand the percent difference between the two? Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Back in 1983 there were not really any video game reviews. It is not like today when people score the games. You just paid your money and took your chances. That is why it is a joy to read the critics reviews. Finally someone with some sense reviews the old retro games.
I used to read some atari user mags and the reviewed games out of 10. If you look at the Xegs reviews you will see a lot of those games came out on tape first so it is good to see the cartridge reviews as well.

Hello, welcome to the site! The Current Review Rating is the VideoGameCritic's score while the Reader's Grade is an average of ratings from the users of the site. The VGC's reviews are based on several things:

1.) Fun, this always comes first.
2.) The grades for a game are compared to other games of the same console. For instance, the VGC may like the PS3 and 360 more than the Wii, but he will only compare the Wii games to other Wii games. Thus, all consoles have a range of A-F scores.
