I will start this off by saying that Im not really a fan of Gamestop, or buying from their website.
I am in the market for a PS2 (Fat) and Wii system. I have been scoping ebay for a while and have found some good deals, but am usually skeptical about buying systems from there. Gamestop.com has both the Wii and PS2 for pretty comparable prices to ebay. They are all "Gamestop Premium Refurbished" though, and I am not really sure what that means. Did they send them to the manufacturer for repair? Did they repair the systems themselves with aftermarket parts?
My goal is to get systems that work, are in good condition, and wont crap out in a year (or less). Anyone ever buy a "Gamestop Premium Refurbished" system? Good deal? Bad deal?
Thanks in advance.

I got a refurbished 360 system from gamestop for my nephew for Christmas last year, it was package that had the console, controller, hard drive, and I think 5 games. It is still working great as if it were new, so I definetly cant complain one bit !

I have purchased a few refurbished electronics, but they were all manufacturer refurbs, so it was all OEM parts used for repair. I just dont know if thats what GS uses, or if they use the cheap stuff you can get on ebay for next to nothing.
I found this article:

Seems like they have a descent setup going on there.

I got both a refurbished Xbox 360 and a refurbished PS3 from Gamestop. Both have worked wonderfully, no problems whatsoever.
