I like the site. I like the reviews and I like the boards.

I was listening to a gaming podcast, and the creators were saying that after a few years they were done. Life had gotten complicated with spouses and careers, other hobbies or people competed for their reduced leisure time, and playing games for the podcast felt like a chore. Totally understandable. Kudos for doing what they did.

Big kudos to The Critic for doing this since the 20th Century, multiple reviews a week.

Cheers, Critic, for keeping this going since the 20th century. It's easy to review the best of the best and the worst of the worst. What amazes me is that you can keep your passion going even when dealing with the at least decent to completely wasted potential mediocre.

That's a superpower. If you could bottle it, you'd make a fortune.

My biggest complaint remains the giant gap in the Gameboy coverage. The Mario/Wario Land games are so experimental that to this day people argue over which is the best, and console exclusives like MoleMania, Petaan, and Avenging Spirit are dying to show off what the system could do in capable hands.

I'm not sure about the rants page. It can feel good to vent, but too much negativity has a way of building up. Worse, if politics get involved, it always ends in strawman battles and a very few people actually citing any verifiable facts while the vast majority, from all sides, try to show off what noble people/terrible trolls they are.

It kills any sense of the escape games can bring us, without actually ever solving anything.

I'm unable to search for new posts again. I'm using iOS on iPhone 6s.

I think the search feature is working again but if you still don't see it on your phone please let us know. Due to some behind the scenes action, the critic disabled the search feature temporarily.

The "view first unread post" started giving a 404 error report the last few days. It used to work just fine, but not anymore. I havent tried yet in IE, but it does this with FireFox or SeaMonkey and it did work before with these browsers.

Hey critic, just wanted to let you know that the menu bar on the "Who is the C64 critic" page does not work properly. It is displayed at the side, under the text, as opposed to the top.
