Mobile Site Revamped!

Hey Dave.

I agree that it listing the consoles in chronological order would improve consistency with the main website. You may also want to use a separate style sheet for the mobile version since some fonts / links are extremely small (see the Search page for an example).

I worked on a mobile version of my site around 3 years ago, but never got around to completing it since a majority of my visitors are using a desktop. That said, I did design / write the code for the main interface which you are more than happy to utilize/customize for VGC. Link to the article with sample images of the pages:

I did have to reformat each page to ensure proper presentation. This may be problematic on your end since you multiple reviews on one page. People like bigger pictures, especially on cell phones and like devices. Not sure if you would have to rewrite each page to ensure the picture / text display properly (i.e. Game title /details <line break> game image <line break> game review text).

Hope this helps, or maybe is a catalyst for other ideas, to further improve the mobile version of VGC.

Some more mobile thoughts:

Consider putting the portable list on the mobile site in chronological order too. Right now it seems to be a jumble.

Consider renaming portable links. The names are odd, due to size constraints. You have 'Vita" and "Sony PSP", where "Sony Vita" I think would fit. I think size constraints let you use "Nintendo" for the DS and 3DS, but not for the Gameboy series. The Game Boy Advanced is "Game Boy Adv." which is not the usual abbreviation. Maybe "Nintendo GBA" would be better. Can the words in these icons be wrapped to two lines?

Consider putting the system reviews into chronological order. Right now its alphabetical.

Consider putting the same rounded box icon links for the Archive section. Right now its a long vertical list of links, broken into sections that could be links up top.

The copyright blue box at the bottom of the Archive section is from 2014. The others I see say 2016.

Consider adding VideoGameConsoleLibrary.com to the links under Video Game Culture or another topic.

I went ahead and revamped the mobile console and portable sections to group the systems by decade. Let me know what you think.

Also, I added the "if you like this, try these" links to the mobile reviews. I think I might need to space them out a little however.

I'm experimenting with some new ads some if you notice any negative side effects (on the regular or mobile site) please let me know.
