Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention (January 23rd)
Posted: January 12th, 2016, 10:43 am
Hey everyone, Dave gave us the ok to post this.
We are just under two weeks out from our Children's Hospital initiative with the Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention, and wanted to spread the word! Not only is it a fantastic event supporting a great cause, but it also will have a brand new homebrew titlted released by 8 Bit Evolution!
Germ Squashers will be released with proceeds also benefiting Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Defeat germs and sink into two player, germ squashing action as you work towards the ultimate goal: a pixelated flu shot power up. NES, Genesis, iOS & Android versions are ready to release!
Come support the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh at Xtaza in the Strip, January 23rd at the Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention! Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.ticketriver.com/event/16851. Can't attend? Grab a ticket while you still can, and know that your efforts are staying local and supporting a great cause. Here are some of the great events:
-A vibrant marketplace showcasing unique local and national vendors
-Enticing panels with record holders and industry leaders
-Cosplay Contest
-Super Smash Brothers Tournament
-Raffles, Grab bags, and much, much more!
This is the second year of the event for us, and last year was a great success. This year we'd love to raise enough money with the game + convention sales to make a definitive impact for Children's that goes beyond a general fund.
Pittsburgh Retro Gaming Convention is an event with a singular focus: supporting a great cause through a medium that we love with gaming! From retro games to table top and cosplay, our attendees travel from around the east coast to drink the atmosphere we produce. When we were growing up, games were something the whole family could share and enjoy together from board games and D&D to two player Super Mario Bros on your NES.
