Switchboxes and power strips

Postby VideoGameCritic » February 11th, 2016, 6:15 pm

Thought I'd post photos of my switchboxes and power strips so you can see what I have to deal with:

That's awesome!

I love the rats nest below. That looks like mine and I have only a few consoles hooked up at the moment.

I remember the days when I had every single one of my consoles hooked up at once with multiple switch boxes. Ahh, the good 'ol days.

I love that you've got a dedicated room. :D Very cool.

Those power strips were a real revelation. Didn't even know about them until a few years ago.

Here is the link:

Of course, they don't prevent me from having a nest of AC adaptors, but at least only one (or three) are on a time.

The switchboxes are the 8-port Pelicans with component video. The top one actually uses the S-Video. The bottom uses component/composite (my Toshiba 27" TV lets you mix and match those apparently).

I believe these Pelicans have become quite rare.

I also have a four-port RF switchbox which you can see the back of. Since I have a lot of RF systems, I'm constantly plugging and unplugging into that thing.

That is pretty awesome. I have something similar to that. Pretty neat.

Any chance you'll ever post pictures of your game library? I've been wondering for years what it looks like.

Uber fantastic dude. Anyone who has that hookup is totally awesome as far as I'm concerned. How about some more pics of the setup from a distance. Don't forget the lazy boy!

I decided to pick up some of those PC-100A switchboxes the critic posted. Turns out they had them at Guitar Center for $29.99. Went there today and got 2 of them. In the process of setting them up, looks like they are going to work perfectly.

Thanks for the heads-up!
