Will they ever release Snatcher on a modern console?

I don't know why Konami has only sold one platform version of this game. I used to own it on my Sega Cd (the only English version available). It died long ago and I have since sold my copy of Snatcher. To me outside of RE4 the most engaging game ever! Konami could make a mint with this on a newer console with updated graphics but the story and game play should remain exactly the same (except for updating the years involved). The few peeps I have known personally all consider this one of the greatest video games ever! Konami must know this. I wonder why they are dragging their collective feet!?

Expecting Konami to do anything right, or do anything that benefits anything, or anyone, outside their antique gambling machines is foolish.

So the answer is: You have a better chance at undoing EA's damage to the marketplace than you do getting anything good out of Konami anymore.

Considering how low Konami has fallen in the past year with regards to caring about its fans, it sounds unlikely. At least we'll always have emulation.

Snatcher is one of those games that is well known within part of the gaming community, but not well known outside of it. This isn't Mario Kart or even Castlevania. Couple that with the Sega CD's ability to play burned disk images probably means the actual number of people willing to pay coin for an HD version may be small. Maybe not, but for Konami to invest in an HD console remake of Snatcher probably does not go far in their board room. How about mobile port of the game instead?

At this point, I doubt another Snatcher release will ever happen but you never know. Konami is pretty unpredictable... If you would have asked me a year ago that Konami would go on a warpath and get rid of Kojima I would have not believed it. Perhaps they'll do it, they're unpredictable!

A Snatcher/Policenauts HD release would be amazing though...
