I wasn't ever very interested in all the VR tech that people have been talking about lately, but then I saw my two favorite YouTubers playing a game on it, and suddenly I want one. Seriously, once they develop the tech enough, I think this could be the next big gaming thing. I especially like the part where he gets so immersed that he falls over because he tried to lean on the virtual counter.

Still not convinced with VR, I think it will go the same way as 3D movies.

It very well might, just like motion control. The few well made titles that really are different and fun and will be swamped by many more disappointing titles, shovelware, minigames and Mario playing tennis.
Beyond the novelty, whats the gameplay that doesn't have the same flaws as motion controls? Motion controls wearing goggles, I might add. There might be more potential in further developing glasses free stereoscopic games using a standard controller than VR.
We'll see what developers can do. A VR Gran Turismo game, a VR Pitfall, a VR Myst...what genres really would benefit from VR?

Re: Virtual Reality?
Imagine playing The Elder Scrolls or Fallout with this. They'd have to think of a way to incorporate walking into the game without it being awkward or using a thumbstick, but the goggles would make it possibly the most immersive game ever made.
