The Video Game Critic

After loading extremely quickly this morning, the sluggishness sadly seems to be returning this afternoon.

Today has been hit or miss and sometimes the forum is going fast and other times it's lagging quite badly. I've been looking at posts for the last 30 minutes and the speed is all over the place. Still, it hasn't been crashing (fingers crossed).

Yeah it got really slow today. I'm monitoring the situation but it is worrisome.

Glad the forums seem to be running, I literally couldn't even get on them.

And hey, I missed you guys !

I was holding my breath when I got home from work today, but thankfully the forums seem to be running pretty smoothly.

The slowness yesterday wasn't caused by my upgraded database serve. It was that my web server which was getting pegged. I suspect a bunch of web crawlers were playing "catch up" and bogging things down.
