If rayman had been a real game not a bunch of mini games this could have been solid, but it isn't.
At first I thought the same thing about Rayman.  I was like alright, a decent platformer at launch...nothing wrong with that.  Then came word that it was a collection mini games based around a "gladiator" type storyline.  I thought it was a bad move.

Luckily though since its such a high profile game there has been an assload of coverage on it.  It got me thinking that Warioware is a collection of mini games and that game is hilarious and blast to play with some friends.  Rayman seems like it can capitalize on the success of Warioware while adding its own crazy charm.

Personally I think the rabbids are hilarious and I can't get enough of them.  The idea of tormenting and beating down these crazed abominations warms the cockles of my twisted heart.  While I may not buy the game at launch it might be something I get before the new year.  It really depends on how well it does critically.  If the inital reports are anything to go by the game is going to rate really highly.

I agree, they were the reason I was excited about the game.  But I've had enoguh of mini game "games" after 3 wario wares and 2 feel the magic games I just couldn't stomach another one.  If you still like these games you might enjoy it.  But a real platformer would have been a system seller to me since those rayman platformers are great.  Hope the 360 rayman is an actual platformer.

I think JLH makes some good points. Maybe the "hardcore" gamer will not take to Ravin Rabbits but it is a good segway for Nintendo to show off its system. Personally, I could care less b/c I don't like mini-games but I see its appeal.

Question: Is the Trauma Center game an original game or a port of the DS version? I keep reading conflicting reports on the web.

Cars - 6.5-I've read it is actually pretty fun on current gen, and the Wii is just the same with added controls.

Open Season -no idea. Who cares?
Hey, I saw both of those movies and they (especially Cars) were pretty good. My favorite film so far this year is a tie between Over the Hedge and Talladega Nights.

Madden 07 - 82%  Early reports have been kind to this game, but I expect a lack of features to keep it from getting a higher score.
"Madden 07 is bringing more content to the Wii than any of the other versions, having all the classic modes from the 360 version, as well as new Wii-specific mini-games and tutorials."

That's from ign. So Madden basically just lacks online play. I don't play online, so it doesn't affect me at all, but even people who do should be able to get over it with the unique controls and modes. There is a 2 on 2 mode which should be a lot of fun with a couple friends, and don't even try telling me you don't want to throw passes like Peyton Manning (or some other quarterback who's not a jerk).

Koopa those films are terrible man.  My highlights of the year have been Inside Man, The Departed and The Lake House.  Now those are great films.

Over the Hedge was good.  A lot of cribbed stuff from other CG movies for sure, but it was certainly good.

Mediocre launch? Are you kidding me? That's probably more original games than the 360 has right at this moment.

"That's probably more original games than the 360 has right at this moment." That's your opinion. One that I don't agree with of course. You want to disagree with me about the Wii having a mediocre lineup good for you. I don't find one game that I actually want to play on that system. Nothing. This is like the Gamecube launch all over again where there was nothing good at all. I didn't buy it until Metroid came out. The only game that I would consider getting is Zelda but its a gamecube port with wii controls. You call that original. Like Saturn says half those games are better looking DS games. All I have to say is a big NO thanks. I'll buy the gamecube Zelda and actually use my GC for the first time in 2 years thanks.

It's a remake of the DS version; while most missions are fairly identical to the original, some were redesigned, and others are completely new.
