My gosh I wish they would release a physical copy of Costume Quest. Digital copies are annoying. But if Live doesn't give it for free next month I will buy it. I want a true Halloween game!

Yeah I agree with everyone else on Costume Quest. It's one of the most Halloween-esque games out there. I doubt it will ever get a physical release, but it's very much worth playing regardless. It's absolutely perfect for this time of year.

I'm personally excited about the upcoming Friday the 13th game! It looks like it has the potential to be a lot of fun, and seems very authentic to the source material! I love how they even had Kane Hodder come in to do the motion capturing!

Besides Friday the 13th, I'm gearing up for my third playthrough of Dark Souls 3, which is my favorite game in the DS series (second if you count Bloodborne). Those games should keep me busy through the Halloween season!

Costume Quest is a flawed but nevertheless very charming game. It's quite easy and the RPG elements are a bit too simple for my taste, but everything else about the game - especially the art direction and the dialogue - does a lot to make up for it. It's also quite short - I probably took 6-7 hours to finish it and I play games slowly.

I think I'll use this time of year as an excuse to get back into gaming after taking a bit of a break so that I can thin my backlog a bit - I'll probably play some combination of Silent Hill 4, The Cat Lady, Fran Bow, Among the Sleep and Undertale.

I have advocated playing and adding Demon's Souls in the past, but after that stinker of a Bloodborne review, don't bother.

I updated the Halloween special with some of the games we talked about.
I'm seriously considering getting Costume Quest.

Thanks for reminding me about Fatal Frame 3! I wrote that review a long time ago.

Now I'm starting to think about putting together a "Top 10 Halloween Game" page. What do you think?

Hey Critic,

Have you ever played Deadly Premonition? That game would be a really good fit.
