Alone in the Dark...Most Recent Titles

I've always been fond of the original Alone in the Dark Trilogy for the PC. The series went dormant for a while, but I remember there being a Dreamcast and Xbox 360 entry. I'm pretty sure I played the Dreamcast game when it came out and I hated it. That was probably 10 years ago.

So do these games have any fans? Are they worth revisiting? I'm really curious about The New Nightmare because 1) I own it and 2) The Reader Votes have the rating pegged at a B+.

I'm itching for something new to dive into before Halloween comes and goes and I'm wondering if I have a gem stashed away in my collection. Or should I go check out the 360 game instead? Or should I just go play Zombies Ate My Neighbors like I always do....
