I just got Skyrim on PS4. I want to be able to use mods. I can't figure it out. My PS4 is connected online. I created a Bethesda account on my phone. I can login no problem on my phone. I try to login on my PS4 and all I get is this message: Could not log into the Bethesda.net servers. I can't understand why.
I've redone it over and over again. Changed password. Confirmed password. The account is just some store stuff. There does not appear to be some way to link the phone internet account to the PS4.
The PS4 account gives no feedback on what the problem is.

Yes, but I believe that space is more limited.
Worst, only mods that utilize in-game assets are allowed. So the list is much smaller than it is on the XB1 and several of the best are unavailable.

Re: Bethesda, PS4 and the Internet
Yup.
My original plan was to get an Xbox One specifically to play this game. 300 for the console, 20 for a controller docking station, price for Xbox online, 60 for the game and just forget it already. I already played this 5 years ago. Do I really want to use mods that bad? I was excited for the mods to remove essential tags on NPCs, but otherwise the rest was neat, but not necessary.
I'm glad I just got the PS4 version, especially since I cant even access the mods. If I couldn't get on the Bethesda site after dumping all that money into the Xbox One I'd probably lose my mind.
It's fun playing this again, but calling this game a "remaster" is really insulting to consumers. It should've been called a "repackage". I haven't played last gen games in awhile so I can't say if this game is improved upon at all visually to its original look, but I can say it definitely looks really bad compared to other PS4 games.

Re: Bethesda, PS4 and the Internet
Excepting the new lighting system, these new console ports are basically up to PC standards now and match up well with how the game looked and ran like when it was running at high graphical settings 5 years ago on a decent PC (And with a PS4 Pro, it's like running the PC game at ultra settings back then).
So it's a definite improvement over the last-gen console ports, particularly if you played it on the PS3, but it's still ultimately going to look like a 5 year old last-gen open world game because that's exactly what it is.

Re: Bethesda, PS4 and the Internet
I still can't login. I'm starting to wonder if there's more than one Bethesda account out there. My account seems tied to a store that sells clothes. I don't see much on this site with regards to video games or announcing it as an account to welcome modders. Maybe if I get motivated I'll change the password again or try and create a new account.
True Skyrim was never a graphical masterpiece to begin with, but I did expect a bit more. I guess I expected PS4 looks & didnt get it. Really none of the Remasters have impressed me with the exception of Resident Evil 4 and that's because that was two generations back. Anything from last gen remastered isn't worth it, unless you can get mods to work; which should be a given and not so dang hard.
