This showed up in my Facebook feed - an album by the hip-hop group Political Animals called Egobese. The artwork replicates the look of the original Altered Beast game for the Genesis. The deluxe edition of the CD and cassette comes in an old-school Genesis clamshell case (it even has the attachment to hang the package from a retail rack) with a "Lyric Manual", a digital download card designed to look like the Genesis Game Genie, a arcade cut-out arcade cabinet (complete with a gluestick to put it together!) and even (in a very limited edition) a non-functioning replica game cartridge. Some pics (along with music reviewer Anthony Fantano holding the case):

Various versions of the album can be purchased here: http://pacthiphop.bigcartel.com

Can you think of other quality examples of this sort of thing?
