Did anyone else see this teaser for the upcoming animated Castlevania series from Netflix?

Translating video games (an interactive artform) to film (a non-interactive one) has been a risky proposition thus far (at least in the US - maybe some of the anime adaptations are OK?), but the animation looks stylish enough and the fact that Warren Ellis (comic book writer behind Transmetropolitan, Planetary and Red, among other series) is penning the series - not to mention that Netflix has had a decent track-record with its original properties so far - gives me a bit of hope. It does look very serious, though - it would be cool if they would occasionally reference how goofy Castlevania could be from time to time.

This looks like it could hold some potential. I've dabbled in anime in the past but it was usually a little too strange for my tastes. This one looks more mainstream. I will check it out.

What game was that at the beginning? Was it a homebrew/hack, or something they made for the trailer?
Not really a fan of that art style. I will give it a watch, but I dont think it will be for me. Hopefully its a hit though, as I would like to see a serious take on many early franchises.
