Newer stuff?

A reader recently wrote it and requested I review more newer games and less older games.  Is this the general feeling?

No. Keep it well-balanced.

Not at all! If people are looking for reviews of only the latests "L33T" games, there are many sites for that.

You could also fullfull this request by reviews of new games released for the VCS.

I'd say the opposite. I'd personally like to see old games reviewed more than new games. I come to the site to read about old games...they hold more interest as one can find reviews for new games in numerous places (although I do think the Critic's reviews are superior).

I think overall it is best to do half old and half new, that way everyone gets what they want, and may learn to like games from other eras.

I like the old stuff myself.  There's tons of other sources for the new stuff but very little on the old stuff.  I often look through the older titles for items to buy which I haven't heard of before.

Well, everyone has a different taste in reviews, personally I wanna see more hand-held reviews but I do enjoy reading review most from (PS1,N64,Genesis,SNES) cause it's something I'm familiar with yet still new sometimes.  Personally I could care less about PS2/3 and either Xbox....but review all the Nintendo you wish!  Again...everyone is gonna have a different opinion.  Something that makes this site so unique is the fact you review older games, whereas other review sites don't even mention them.  I can't count how many times I come here just to read about games I used to play or heard about but never had the opp. to play it.  Maybe some spacing is needed like one batch of new games then next time a batch of old games.  Just my opinion though...

It would be a better idea to ignore new games altogether.

I'd like to see some more Genesis reviews. Especially of the great Disney platformers like Aladdin and Mickey's World of Illusion. Of course I can't expect you to review every game I have fond memories of. Overall I'd prefer seeing you do a balance of old and new. It's fine how you do it now.

I'd like to see more classic era stuff before the NES was released, and more Game Boy reviews.
