Wii online multiplayer

I just read on ign that Mario Strikers charged is set to release in 1st quarter 2007 and have online multiplayer. I also read that along with that, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Battallion Wars 2, and Super Smash Bros.: Brawl, all 2007 titles, are confirmed for online multiplayer. Of course, the first quarter Mario Strikers news conflicts with what I read about Nintendo promising online play by second quarter in Game Informer.

Either way, there will be online titles in 2007. This is something mostof you have read, but I'm just giving the data for the naysayers. Plus, I'm sure quite a few of you wanted to hear that Smash Bros. will be online (I know I looked for a while).Hopefully 3rd parties will start getting online soon as well. I'm sure the console will see support from Activision, which already released 2 online games for DS, and was the first 3rd party to support the DS wi-fi connection.

P.S. Can someone explain to me what the fi in wi-fi stands for? Wireless fi?

I never said they wouldn't do it I did question how good it would be. Especially given how far Brawl was into development without the online infrastructure even being outlined for them. You cannot design a good game engine that will work well online without first understanding the technology base upon which you are basing it. These are computer science basics.

I would hope they would have it in 07 since it should have been out in 06 with the console.

I never said you said they wouldn't. Some other people however have stated they don't think it will have online mulitiplayer in '07. I'm not going to give any names. We can find out how good it is when it comes out.
