"According to participating members of the NeoGAF Virtual Console sales thread, Bonk's Adventure tops the list of the most purchased games on Wii's download service thus far. Intuitively, one would think Nintendo and/or Sega would dominate this unofficial data, but TurboGrafx games make up three of the top five selling titles on the survey with mostly NES and Genesis titles filling up subsequent spots.

While it should be noted this forum is largely made up of rabid gamers like you and I, could this just be early (or new found) excitement for less accessible Hudson games? As one
Game|Life commenter wisely pointed out, both Nintendo and Sega have repackaged and re-released most of their hits into oblivion, whereas TurboGrafx games on the Virtual Console represent a first for retro-minded gamers seeking Hudson classics."

I knew the TurboGrafx would be popular because it was extremely rare here in America.  Now if they could just port Dracula X: Rondo of Blood over, I will buy a wii this second.  After all I am a huge Castlevania fan, yet I haven't played the castlevania game that most because consider to be the best of the bunch.

That game is hard, I mean Ninja Gaiden hard.  Or I just suck and am too lazy to take the time necessary to figure it out.  Though, I got to the admit the intro in German with Japanese subtitles is freaking awesome in a really weird sort of way.  Definitely gets you pumped to play it (and then die quickly).

Ninja Gaiden for NES or Ninja Gaiden for Xbox hard?   I never found the xbox version of Ninja Gaiden to be hard, I easily beat it hard mode.   Very Hard mode is kind of tough though.   I find the NES version of Ninja gaiden to much tougher than the Xbox version.

That's right on. I currently have Bomberman, Super Star Soldiers, and Sonic in my VC collection. I looked forward to the TG16 VC games precisely because I never got a whack at them originally, and the emulated ROMS are also very hard to find.

No emulated ROMs are ever hard to find.  Though personally I don't go in for that kind of thing.

I'm not a hard core emulator, I would never emulate stuff that is as current an N64. I think it is relatively legitimate (though of course not legal) for hard to find old school titles, so I don't feel guilty about tracking down the ROM for Faxanadu, for instance. I bought the thing back in the day anyway.

Incidentally, there was an interesting post on Kotaku.com where someone actually rigged up their Wii to play a Super Nintendo emulator...
