Sixth. And I really enjoy my Dreamcast too. But the PS2 was hands down my fave console of all time with The Genesis being second.Hell I think I burned through two of them and have my third one!

I'm taking this to mean what we'd personally pick to own today (i.e., based on personal preference rather than actual best, and based on today rather than back in the day). Also I didn't factor in backwards compatibility because it'd feel like cheating. With that:

1st Odyssey. Not much worth playing here, so went with historical significance.
2nd Atari 2600.
3rd NES
4th SNES. Toughest one for me.. I really like the less mainstream systems of this generation (like CD-i and 3DO), but SNES has the best games IMO. Almost picked CD-i, though.
5th PS1
6th PS2
7th Xbox 360
8th PS4

Yeah it's a gray area.. But back in the day we treated the DC as a next gen console with the PS2, so I think it's best to count it in the 6th generation. In terms of power and graphics, it's also closer to the 6th gen than the 5th gen.

This is tough!

Vectrex
NES
SNES (would have been the Genesis if not for Super Metroid and Earthbound)
N64 (would easily have been the PlayStation if not for Super Mario 64)
Gamecube
360
PS4 (but ask me on a different day and it might be the Switch)

1). PC-50x
2). SG-1000
3). Master System
4). Mega Drive
5). Saturn
6). PS2
7). PS3
8). PS4

Yeah I’m consistent.

I would call the Channel F 2nd generation, but it's nice for anyone to pick it as a favorite
1st generation : Atari Video Pinball
2nd Generation: Atari 2600
3rd Generation: 8 bit computers really, but Sega Master if none of those
4th Generation: Sega CD (since it plays all the Genny games)
5th Generation: N64
6th: PS2
7th: Xbox 360

Really Scotland...the N64? Nothing wrong with Your opinion of course . I had fond memories of it back in its prime! It that was the only classic console I sold off. Hadn’t played it in years andGoldeneye was not nearly as fun as I remembered. Merry Christmas!

Alright, this is probably not as well thought out as some of the others, as my experience with 1st and 2nd generation systems is limited as is my experience with the most recent generation of consoles. I will also be including backwards compatibility as I do not feel that is cheating. If a company had the brains to do that, more props to them.

Alright, without further ado:

1) No clue, I've played literally 0 of these systems. All of them look fun on a sheer curiosity level.
2) Atari 2600, only one I've played, and I do have some fond memories of it. My first ever system.
3) Going with an 8-bit computer over the NES here. An Apple IIe or a C64 in this slot would be great.
4) Snes, that is really... really, really tough though. (Hair over the Genesis because of Chrono Trigger, FF2+3, and super metroid)
5) Sega Saturn, I speak highly of my saturn, I love it and the light gun/unique games it provides.
6) PS2: This is probably my favorite system of all time. For one, it plays PS2 and PS1 games, so my personal library of games for it is huge. Two, it was my primary DVD player through college, which also gives it value. 3) Mine has pretty much NEVER given me a SINGLE issue. The only other system I can say that for is... umm.... maybe the SNES?
7) Xbox 360. Arkham games, some backwards compatibility, and graphics that are honestly nearly as good as the generation following it.
8) Going to say the Switch here purely for curiosity sake. My experience with these systems isn't enough to make a good judgement.
