Just read your reviews of XEGS games...you are certainly on
the money on Gauntlet, but it was even WORSE on the C-64!
I had that clunker and the scrolling was so choppy it was
terrible!!!! The Atari Classics PSone CD is still the best
way to play Gauntlet.oops second best after GENESIS!

Are you going to be reviewing other disc-based games?
Are you planning on adding computer consoles, then?

Well the Atari XEGS straddles the line between console and computer. It's technically a console, but is capabable of running old Atari computer software. Since I grew up with an Atari computer, I'm drawn toward those games. However, I am considering branching out into Commodore 64 territory. Then I could get a cartridge version of Kickman. Remember than one?

I HAVE Kickman for the C64. I used to have the top score on the coin op in our area. I still love it on MAME, but the C-64
version leaves much to be desired. The background is WHITE
and hard on the eyes. No music and sounds are only passable.

Be aware there are not a lot of great cart games for this unit.
If you get a disc drive, however, you can play some of the
greatest 8 bit computer games EVER!
