Ok, so the Wii (along with the Virtual Console) has been out for a while.  Any of you Wii owners actually make use of the VC yet?

Yep.  I've downloaded 15 games so far.

How's the emulation?  Spot on or sucks balls?  I'm curious how the Turbo Graphx 16's controller's rapid fire is emulated, if at all?

Thanks much

I'm concerned about the 4:3 aspect ratio burning into a plasma tv.

Yeah I can understand that.  I haven't had any problem with my 56 inch TV, but then again, when I play these games it's in spurts.  One of the reasons I like the VC so much is that you can play, and then exit at any point during the game.  It saves your state for you so that you can just pick it up again at the same place later.  I've not had any of the games on play for more than 30 minutes at a time.

I saw no problems with the emulation.  If anything, it's almost too perfect.  If the original system had any framerate slowdown, then the VC emulation will show that too.  They really took the time to make the emulation look and act a lot like the machine in question, when some of those subtleties might have been improved upon in software emulation.

The "B" button on the Wiimote (whcih is on the back of the Wiimote) is the one used for turbo.  I didn't know that until reading it on here in another thread.

I have 3 games so far.  I love the fact that they're bringing back all the old TG-16 games which were long forgotten by many gamers. I hear Monday they're releasing Military Madness, which is a turn based military game that is similar to Advance Wars. I think Advance Wars is awesome so I can't wait to check that one out.

One last thing, the TG-16 games play wonderfully with the Wiimote. It's so comfortable and there's no problem with lag whatsoever. The only problem I have is the "+" button, which is used for as the Run button is a pain to reach when you have the Wiimote sideways.

I definetly like the list of games that they have so far. Definetly one of the highlights of the system.
