VideoGameCritic wrote:Still agonizing how to handle the Sears titles. I was going to enter a few of them today (with their own entries linking to the Atari versions), and thinking about using different screenshots for some variety. But then I noticed AtariAge.com doesn't even list those games!

AtariAge has all of the Sears games listed, but I think they just use the same screenshots as the Atari versions:

Sorry, I didn't realize that link doesn't go directly to the Sears' titles. Use this one and change the company name to 'Sears' and it will show you all of the Sears' games. http://atariage.com/software_search.php?SystemID=2600

Oh yeah you're right - they do have separate entries for the Sears games!
I was searching for Tanks Plus but the name is actually Tank Plus.
Guess I should follow their lead.

Okay, poking them in now. I just added the more common Sears titles:

Arcade Golf (Miniature Golf)
Maze Mania (Maze Craze)
Race (Indy 500)
Poker Plus (Casino)
Tank Plus (Combat)
Pong Sports (Video Olympics)
Chase (Slot Racers)
Outer Space (Star Ship)
Space Combat (Space War)

I already had Breakaway IV (Breakout), Gunslinger (Outlaw), and Target Fun (Air-Sea Battle).

There are still a few left, but they are very rare like Dodger Cars (Dodge 'Em) so now sure they are worth adding.

I don't see the point of adding games with exactly the same names for Sears and Atari, like Asteroids.

Thoughts?

I agree. No sense in adding a bunch of extra listings with the same or very similar title to Atari's releases. But I do think you might want to add Baseball (Home Run) since those are different. Also I noticed a couple of errors:

Speedway II Sears/Atari(Sears)
Tank Plus Sear(s)
Target Fun Sears/Atari(Sears) 1983(1977)

Just a heads up.. Arcade Golf, Maze Mania, and Poker Plus are missing the links to the original Atari-version reviews.

Got a lot of good feedback (including email) and I think I was able to address all the issues. I also added Baseball.

Yep, looks good. But there is one Atari game link still missing in Speedway II.

Fixed it. Also added grade to Maze Mania.
