Sony systems take a year

3 million consoles isn't a head start?
I know, that's what I was talking about. I think maybe Shawn thought I meant overall.
I don't think so. Once it gets rolling, the PS3 will soon catch up. And like I mentioned, didn't Sony sell 100 MILLION PS2's? Nintendo has MUCH more catching up to do.
I disagee with the critic. People are waiting for the PS3. I think it is incredibly naive to think that those who love Sony (and there are many) are going to get a Wii or a 360 b/c they have to wait till March. I am not running out to get a Wii (I already have a360). Keep in mind Microsoft didn't get the 360 rolling out the door until about six months after launch and it has had virtually no presence in Japan. However, by all accounts, it seems to be doing fine. You could argue about the price point but from what I have read, most people don't seem to have a problem with the $600 pricetag. Heck, if you buy the high end 360 plus the wireless adapter (that comes with PS3) then you are spending $500. So....a lousy $100 truly seperates the 360 and the PS3. Here me now, believe me later, the PS3 is going to do well.
If you could point to anything that would hamper the PS3 it would be losing exclusive games. If that happens then I believe it could seriously hurt Sony.

Ok critic so you are online now? I thought you weren't. If you aren't then you are missing out. Anyway, this is pointless. I must say I respect both of your opinions but respectfully disagree. Only time will tell I guess. I own a 360 but will buy a PS3 as soon as I can. I personally think the PS1 and PS2 are the best systems ever put into action (please no debate on this, it's just my opinion) so why would I think the PS3 would be any different? The point of mentioning the PS2 is that so many people bought a PS2 this year I doubth= they will be buying any "next gen" system right now. But when they do who do you think they are going to turn to? Not everybody is so in love with the 360 or Nintendo, just look at the past. If you ask me the company that has screwed its fans over the most the last five years is Nintendo but somehow the little plumber gets away with it. Remember, it's not where you start, it's where you finish. PS3 will be on top. Personally I really don't care. It's kind of like this, they are the champion until they are dethroned and it isn't even close yet.
Happy Holidays everybody!

Trying to figure this out. Methinks you are talking about the Gamecube, with its limited library and no online play. If that is the case, that seems a stretch. The Gamecube has been very cheap to buy (so, in my view, you get what you pay for with the library) and many people don't care about online play. The Gamecube has more than enough great titles in the library, not even counting ports,l to justify having owned it.
If you can site other examples, please do so.

Gamecube:
No online play
Poor third party support
Zelda handed over to the Wii first
Nintendo practically gave up on the system in 2006
Very poor games in 2006
NO outlook for 2007
Thank God Sony did a much better job, the PS2 had a ton of great games in 2006 and the icing on the cake is God of War 2 will be out on the PS2 in March. Wait....do you think they will delay God of War 2 and release it on the PS3 a month before the PS2 release? I don't think so, only Nintendo would do something so vile to its loyal following.
