The Wal-Mart here seems to have missed that memo.

I am sure that those PS3's are still sitting here. I have called about 30 stores near Boston and they sell them as soon as they get them. I still have my connections with Gamestop and Toys R Us but I kind of burned those up a bit with buying and reselling Wii's.

Well, there will always be exceptions. With so few systems it's guaranteed Sony is going to sell most of them. You should call some PS3 fans and tell them where you live. I'm sure there are some people in other areas dieing to get one.

Yeah a I got particularly burned when I got Reign of Fire for Cube instead of XBox.  It's nearly unplayable.

Getting back to the topic I think the Playstation was rocking right from release.  Titles like WipEout, Ridge Racer and Loaded shipping on day one made for some great stuff.

I don't particularly get along with most Sony fans.  I was kind of tempted to buy one and sell it, but, well, with the return those things are giving now, and the trouble I'd have to go through getting someone else to sell it for me (as my feedback would be zero, and few people would take the auction seriously then), then I'd risk getting burned pretty bad.

If anyone wants one, there was still at least one in the Wal-Mart in Marystown Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, earlier tonight.

Any game that required dual sticks the control pretty much sucked on Cube.  That's all FPS, most third person action games and a number of other titles.

The only thing on Cube to come out this year I want is Zelda.  There were only a couple of titles last year.  It's been a joke.

Timesplitters 2 was still fun, but other than that I agree with you. It's a good thing Nintendo did away with the C-stick, because it blows. The Gamecube had about 12 games that I cared about, and all but RE4 were made by Nintendo. Any 3rd party games I got on Xbox, although once I sold the Xbox I did generally pick the Cube version over the PS2 version, unless control could be affected by the button layout, which happened with Soul Caliber 2 and Madden. I didn't regret buying the Gamecube, but I didn't miss it that much when my brother took it to college. I could probably find 20 great Gamecube exclusive games if I tried, but that is ridiculously low compared to the amount of great games I can find on PS2.

This still puzzles me.  I have never had any problems or complaints about the C-stick, but I havn't played many games other than Nintendo releases and RE4.  What's wrong with the C-stick exactly?  Is it the location, or the lack of a bigger nub on the top of it?  I'm really curious because I hear this alot, but having not played many FPS or other third party games on the cube I just don't follow.

The fact it lacks another nub is the big problem with the stupid thing.  Also it slicks, which is less of a problem.  Anyway, if it has another nub ontop developers might have actually used the friggen thing.  Rather than map all movement to mananalog stick.

It's the nub. I found a 3rd party controller which had the C-stick as an actual joystick, just a yellow joystick. I like using that for Timesplitters.
