TZD running a special for TurboGrafx/TurboDuo controllers

Postby ActRaiser1 » December 19th, 2006, 2:28 pm

Got this in an email this morning.  Their collection of games for sale is running pretty low for the good stuff; however, they do have Lords of Thunder which completely rocks.

Get what YOU want this year, don't wait for Santa to fill your Christmas stocking.

OK, so you can't get a Wii, can't find a 3. No worry, dust off that old Turbo and remember the good old days. You were young and games were fun. Here's an offer that won't break your piggy bank or your TV screen!

We'll throw in a free Turbo pad or Duo pad with any order over $30.00. Now who else is giving anything away the week before Christmas? The sale ends midnight on New Year's Eve, you only have to be sober enough to type. All the usual fine print applies. You must enter the code Christmaska so we can tell who's been naughty or nice. We'll adjust the total ($19.99 value)here at TZD H.Q.

Also, keep a sharp eye on our web site, the long-awaited re-vamp is coming. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of your friends at www.tzd.com

Do you have any idea if they are going to get a power supply for a Turbo Duo?. I have needed one for a long time. I've looked on ebay to no avail (

Hmm, no idea but usually on the back of the power supply it will list the proper voltage/amps required.  I'll see if I can't look for it this evening.  With that information you can check your collection of power supplies as you may already have one that works.  The other thing to do would be to just email tzd and ask them to check as most likely a sega genesis/radio shack power supply would work and they could ship that off for you.

I tried the radio shack suggestion. They told me they don't make the particular power supply anymore. I've also tried several universal AC adapters to no avail.

Per the bottom of my Japanese Duo R it says DC IN 9V 12W.  However, per the power supply that I found that contains NEC on the back it says output DC9V 1000mA, which also corrosponds to what this FAQ says found here

Checking froogle, you can order one from here

for the low, low price of 3.95.
