Was given:

XBox 360 - Amped 3.  An amazing game for sure and something of a surprise as I thought I was getting Viva Pinata.

I bought:

XBox 360 - Quake 4 and Ninety Nine Nights.  Normally I wouldn't buy N3 but it only cost an extra £15 once I bought Q4 so I got it and for that price it is a lot of fun.

In the sales I just bought Call of Duty 2, Far Cry and Full Auto on the 360 and will possibly buy Need for Speed Most Wanted, Moto GP 06 and Blazing Angels on 360 too.  The plan is to stick these in a draw and if a month goes by where I don't get a 360 game I will take one out and add it to my collection.

I thought the PSP came with a 32 mb memory card? That should suffice to save games on, no?

[/QUOTE]

Only if you get the $250.00 pack with a decent game (ATV), and a crappy movie (Lords of Dogtown). The $200.00 version doesn't have a memory card.

Good lord, Crevalle! What didn't you get? As for myself, I got an Xbox 360 Platinum! I got the games Open Season (a very good platformer, surprisingly) and Burnout Revenge (Really cool). I got Cars, Pirates 2, Superman Returns, and a few other DVDs and CDs. I bought myself Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter with a little of my Christmas money, and I love it. What other 360 games should I get and avoid?

You didn't make GoW your first purchase?  Shame!

IMHO Get:
GoW - Run to the store right now.
Kameo - If you like role-playing/adventure games.  Just $30 now.
Need for Speed (MW or Carbon) - If you like racing games. MW is just $30 now.
Rainbow Six: LV - Great looking game that's a blast to play.  At least rent it--it's great.
Oblivion - Only if you like RPG/Adventure games that last forever.

IMHO Avoid:
King Kong - Ultra linear and short--sort of like a play along movie.  I'll never understand why some people like this bore-fest.
FEAR - A port that just bored me to tears, and really over-rated.

Again, just my opinions.  I've had a 360 since launch and have rented most every game.

Personally I prefer the multiplayer deathmatches on GRAW to GoW but both are incredibly solid games.

Awesome news Koopa.  Very brief run down of some of the 360 games you don't hace:

Gears of War:  Very good game.  Got that Halo factor of a not huge single player but which you replay over and over.  Great gameplay.  I found it suitably different to GRAW to be a worthy purchase.  Very dark. Great plot.

Amped 3: Awesome fun game.  So much easier than old Ampeds.  Tons of pretty style and funny cut scenes.  Great, varied soundtrack.  Very cheap and a great pick up and play game.

Ninety Nine Nights:  Not worth full retail price but if you can find it cheap it is very fun.  Got a great Lord of the Rings vibe to it.  Good plot.  Fun and mindless hack and slash with replayability.  A spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes.

Quake 4 (+Quake 2):  Fast, mental action.  Cool style.  One for fans of the series.  Slowdown is not a problem like some would say.  Plus it has Quake 2 too.  I like it but try the demo and see as it depends on your tastes.

Perfect Dark Zero:  Appreciated by most critics.  A great, over the top and brash game.  Great single player and decent enough multiplayer.  Very colourful with James Bond esque locations and campy acting.  A lot of diversity.  Think Timesplitters but not rubbish.

Kameo: Beautiful game but short.  Now has online play though.  Not a platformer though.  It's a beat em up like Streets of Rage.

Lumines Live:  Expensive compared to other arcade game but still half the price of Lumines 2.  You HAVE to buy the Advanced pack if you get it though otherwise it isn't worth it.  The most addictive game I have played on 360 and one of my favourites.

Condemned:  If you like horror/scary games and can handle a first person view this is a must buy.

Dead Rising: HUGE adventure game.  Rock hard at first, easier later on.  The final 12 game hours in main mode are a right laugh.  Not scary though it is gory.  Lots of humour.  Tons of hours in it.  Constantly surprising.

Tomb Raider:  Amazing game.  Brilliant reimagining of the series.  Even better than the first one.  Controls so fluidly. Definitely recommended.

Ridge Racer 6:  Great arcade racer.  Similar in some ways to Burnout but with a lot more emphasis on avoidance.  Personally I prefer it but if you have Burnout it is possibly not worth getting.

I got a Sega Saturn ACTION REPLAY 4M PLUS from my friend. I didn't get any other specifically video game related things from anyone else, but I did spend $25 in Christmas money on Panzer Dragoon Zwei (disc only) and a Japanese copy of House of the Dead.

Hooray for eBay. And Sega Saturn shiro!

I got Track IR 4 Pro for the computer, and Capcom Classics Collection Volume II for the Xbox. That's the only gaming related stuff I recieved as gifts. Also got a EB gift card but haven't used it yet.
