Sales should be in stores, not online. It all started with like either the Dreamcast or PS2. The PS2 had shortages so... I dont know. There was not a problem when there was no ebay or any online stores for the NES, Genesis, Super NES, Playstation, and N64. Sales were good for these systems with their launch titles and were not put on order in online stores. No shortages came. The problem is when the launch day comes. It is stupid to have someone buy a PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360, and sell it to someone who dont have it. I say the PS3 was the most expensive system to buy on Ebay even though sales did not begin. It's expensive price proved it should be online. It is most popular today. Back then, when I saw the Top 5, it was mainly the first three Nintendo systems. The N64 was a success and failure. The Sega Master System had not only a system but many games packaged in hard boxes which would be like the Genesis on Ebay. I say that the new generation of systems should not be in online stores until the end of their lifecycles.

[QUOTE=The Video Game Critic]I can't believe the number of people attempting to justify this using the "free market" argument. If there was an epidemic and there was a limited supply of the antidote, would you defend a guy who bought them all up so he could gouge everyone? It might be free market and perfectly legal, but it doesn't mean it's right. Just like scalpers ruin it for people who want to see concerts/sporting events and spammers pollute our email with their garbage, these people on Ebay are ruining it for gamers who would really like to own the new systems.

I can't help you there (no XBOX), but I think anyone who sells a console at launch on eBay is a sick little freak who needs tp get a life.
