Where are the PS3 Reviews?

I've read a lot of messages about people's experience with their Wiis, but where are the PS3 reviews? I know they're in short supply, but I'm sure at least a few of you have tracked down one. I'd like to know if it's worth the $600.

My friend has a PS3 and I go over there to play it all the time. Out of all three consoles the PS3 just looks frickin sweet. It has heat sensored buttons on the console and the sixaxis controller means that there is no need to learn a new controller.

When I go over there we play three games...

Resistance Fall of Man

Fight Night: Round 3

X-Men: Ultimate Alliance

I was pretty down on the PS3 until I finally saw one of these things. I got even more amped up once I actually played it. Resistance is actually a little underrated by the media. I really, really enjoy that game. Critic if you get one you have to take it online...the PS3 has built in wi-fi so you don't need any wires...Resistance online is the most fun I've had since Halo 2. Its just that good. Plus there is no voices online and you don't have to listen to people mock you as you get blown to bits. I constantly lose track of time playing that game into the wee hours of the night...good stuff.

Fight Night Round 3 is also a great game to play...but if you own the 360 version there is no need to play this.

On Xmas Eve we downloaded a free demo of Gran Turmiso Concept...its quite simply the most realistic game I have ever seen. I don't even like the GT series and we played the hell out of this demo. I was in constant awe at how good it looked...eventually though the demo lost our interest because it looks real nice, but it still plays like a classic GT game...not our cup of tea.

Two days before xmas my local WalMart had 4 in stock...I almost bought one after my experience with the system, but I decided not to be a selfish bastard and finish my xmas shopping.

Next time I see one in stores I will be getting it...the PS3 is gonna be a great system...there is no doubt in my mind about it.

Critic, you would be wise to purchase a PS3 the first time you see it.

A buddy of mine has one I have played Resistance, Full Auto 2 and Genji. JLH just about summed it up perfect about Resistance so I won't add anything. I loved the first Full Auto despite the below avg reviews and the second one is even better. Better weapons, better modes and better online play, the game looks amazing and is a blast. I also enjoyed Genji even though it got below average reviews. It isn't an "A" title but I had fun with it.

I think a big reason why people don't say much about the PS3 is that your site (including the things you have said) are very pro Nintendo. So maybe people are like "why bother".

Personally, I am getting a PS3 as soon as possible. Resistance, Lair (if it's good), Motorstorm (loved the demo), Full Auto 2 are enough for me to warrant a purchase. Not to mention many other games that are coming out in 2007. I think the system is amazing and will have a great 2007.

I personally think it will be around March until they are readily available; which is fine with me.

Well, assuming that Sony can get more systems out there and that they can keep MGS4 as an exclusive (a big question mark seeing as they can't and/or won't secure anything else). Basically, if MGS4 goes to 360, the PS3 is through; it's simple as that.

And just to cut you off right now, no, I'm not a Microsoft or Nintendo fanboy.

I'd say it's worth it if you need the exclusives it will offer. I don't think it offers anything more than the 360 that warrants the price. IGN had this article recently that showed side-by-side screen shots between the 360 and the PS3, and the 360 actually looked better in all of them.

Once the PS3 has more than one good game, I'll think about picking one up.

You guys just proved my point. As soon as somebody on this site says anything good about the PS3 you guys are just frothing at the mouth, ready to beat it up.

Wasn't the xbox very similar to the ps2? How did that turn out? Oh wait, the PS2 kicked its ass.

And as far as MGS4 not being an exlusive; that has yet to be determined and that will not spell the end of the PS3 (if it isn't exclusive). That is about the most ignorant statement I have read on this site.

Keep in mind that I own a 360 and love it! But the PS3 is going to do well and I will buy it; it's that good.

JLH on Live it takes two seconds to mute the 12 year olds in a room. Without voice chat it is impossible to co-ordinate teams.

Yeah, the Xbox was technically superior, but was more expensive, released later, and had far fewer interesting exclusives than the PS2.

Change Xbox for PS3 and PS2 for 360, and it sounds about right. It's not that the PS3 is a horrible console, or that it won't sell, but it just doesn't offer much the 360 doesn't.
