Where are the PS3 Reviews?
For all the skeptics out there - Its too early to tell, because the system has only been out for a month and half. At this time next year we should have a better feeling about how the whole thing will shape up.

Where are the PS3 Reviews?
I own a PS3, and let me just tell you all that I have played the Wii and the Xbox 360, and by far the PS3 is the easiest controller to learn, has the best graphics, and might just overpower the Wii (Ill get to this in a sec)
First, I have 2 games: Madden 07 and Call Of Duty 3. Call of Duty is the crispest looking game ive ever seen (but I havent seen the Gran Turismo Concept yet, so we'll see) CODs gameplay is extremely easy to learn in all aspects of the game, which are driving tanks, cars, operating various weapons and moving the controller physically (Wii, here we come!) to control some actions ( like driving, setting charges, ect.)
Madden 07 is an entirely different story though. I havent gotten a Madden game since its 2005 release, so I am used to NCAA Football controls. So it would make sense if the controls to both games were the same right? So why arent they? Why is a 'fake snap' R1 instead of O? There are many examples of this throughout the game, and to top it all off, the players dont realistically move. (Their chests seem to stay in 1 spot.)
And 1 last thing: Is there any accessories to buy that will make it able to plug in Guitar Hero's controller? Its killing me to only be able to play it on the PS2! (Its very inconvenient; the room my PS2's in doesnt have a fridge.)

Yeah, but what constitutes fine? The PS2 won the last generation in a romp, outselling its nearest competitor by more than 4x.
If the PS3 can only regain the console lead by a slim margin, it could be considered a major failure for Sony, having let Microsoft and Nintendo back into the race.
Sony will definitely continue to be a heavy hitter, but I think it's also safe to say they've been showing signs of slipping.

But, have you played Madden 07 and Call of Duty 3 for the 360? Are the PS3 versions better? And if they are, are they so much better it justfied the 600/500$ purchase? That's the questions you should be asking.

To be fair, Shawn, there has only been one brand new Animal Crossing...period(DS Animal Crossing being more of an expansion). Also, it's funny that you are coming down on Nintendo for lack of originality but when they actually do try to create new franchises, you come down on them for the effort. Personally, I am looking forward to:
1). Disaster(new franchise, by the way....interesting concept).
2). Project Hammer(new franchise, and could take me back to those good ol'
beat em up days).
3). Wario Ware(looks like a fun game to play with friends and, with the exception of the GC version, I have loved every one that has come out)
4). Fire Emblem(a franchise that, while ancient in Japan, is still relatively new to us)
5). Batallion Wars 2(hopefully fixes the errors of the original...I had some fun
with the first but it's difficulty was just too insane!!)
6). No More Heroes(this is more of a curiosity, seeing as how Killer 7 was seen as utter crap!)
7). Super Smash Bros. Brawl(simply because I had a blast with Melee)
8). Super Mario Galaxy(no....more....waterpack....YAY!!!)
9). Resident Evil(the speculation on this one is that it takes the perspective of RE4, rather than Survivor, and it includes areas from all the RE's..could be good, could be crap).
Also, there are games that I could give a rat's *ss about, such as:
1). New Mario Party(you and I agree on this, Shawn. They need to give it up....I have always hated the crap out of those games!!)
2). New Mario Strikers(The first one bored me to tears)
3). Sonic: Wild Rings or whatever(R.I.P. Sonic, seeing as how Sonic Team would rather give you an attitude and "spunky new friends" than a great new game!)
...I need to know more about Animal Crossing and Mario Kart before I comment on them.

Btw, it's called "Heroes" now, no longer "No More Heroes". And I loved "Killer 7". It was one of the most thought-provoking games I've played in a LONG time.

I think the system is amazing and will have a great 2007.

Well, assuming that Sony can get more systems out there and that they can keep MGS4 as an exclusive (a big question mark seeing as they can't and/or won't secure anything else). Basically, if MGS4 goes to 360, the PS3 is through; it's simple as that.
And just to cut you off right now, no, I'm not a Microsoft or Nintendo fanboy.

You're right. I'm a slavish Metal Gear fan. Whether MGS4 comes to the Xbox 360 or not will be my decisive factor for which system I get.

Dude, you just proved my point. There are hardly any new items there. More Mario, More Zelda, More Smash Bros....Yawn. I have a hard time believing that Nintendo will be able to get a Metroid, Smash Bros. and a Mario game out the door all in the same year. I guess we'll see.
