No comic book film could be worse than Fantastic Four surely.
Fantastic Four's only major problem was the horrible pacing. I figured that Fantastic Four 2 would be awesome, because you have all the pacing out of the way..

..then they announced Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Sigh..

To be honest with you the Silver Surfer being there is the only reason why I'm watching part 2 of the Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four movie was awesome, I can't see why any fan would not like it. Dr. Doom was pure evil and Ben was sad. ( "This man, this monster.") ....I can think of lots worse "superhero" films, top of the list is HULK, now selling for $1.99 at wal*mart! That film was shot like a cross between a weird art film and bad computer animation. The old Incredible Hulk Tv series was a zillion times better, hell, even the hulk CARTOON was better than the movie!...and don't forget dreck B movies like Captain American and The Punisher (the first one, not the second) -as for the two biggest franchises, Superman and Batman, I thought Batman one and Batman Forever rocked, B:returns was just ok and Batman and robin was awful. First two Superman films, I still think of as the best Comic films, 3 & 4 were awful. EVERYONE needs to see SUPERMAN RETURNS, it is on a par with the first Superman! I loved it!

Not so sure I'm with you on all this Alienblue. The Hulk was one of the best superhero movies of recent years. Without ever seeing The Fantastic Four I can say certainly the Hulk is better (the trailers told me enough) Also, Batman Returns is as good or better than the original Batman, and both are better than Batman Forever. No contest.

a: you are entitled to your insane opinions of course, but:

1. The Hulk was soooo bad it literally gave me eyestrain and a headache. The story flashed and zipped and zapped from one place to another, Bruce Banner was insipidly idiotic and HULK was a bad SHREK copy. I grew up with DAVID BANNER on TV, and, bad as lou ferigno's makeup was, the stories made SENSE and were dramatic.
2. Batman Forever is the best. Val Kilmer really LOOKS and acts Bruce Wayne, plus Robin was done so well and Alfred really held it all together. B:returns was ok, not as good as Batman. The penguin was disgusting, not evil. Catwoman was awful.
3. I never liked the FF4 comic or X:men, yet I loved the movies. That may explain THAT- I didn't care about being a "real life" comic-they were just interesting and moving films. (The last X-men kinda sucked, though).

But in FF the actors they picked for the parts were completely wrong.  And Thing looked like a man in a plastic suit you would see at a theme park.  I was really disappointed because I loved the old cartoon show.  Daredevil on the other hand I really liked because it was dark and I like Ben Aflleck as an actor.

My favourite comic book movie though is Constantine.  Now that is quality!

I love FF. I am big FF comic nerd (almost a complete collection in very good condition. I loved the movie. The Thing was the coolest character I've seen on film in a while. Plus, Jessica Alba = uber-hot goddess. I wish for an Unrated version. The Hulk was garbage. I hate the wretched story. Plus, the guy who directed Hulk also did Brokeback freakin' Mountain. WTF!?!The story was horrid. WTF with the psychological crap, man, just WTF? I never saw Capt. America or the original Punisher, but the new Punisher is awesome and action-packed. I love Superman Returns, it's one of the best movies of 2006. I can't wait for Ghost Rider. I agree with Superjay, the comics rock!

Alien, have you seen Batman Begins? That movie rocks hard!
