Bad game names

So I was looking on Amazon for a game when I stumbled on a futuristic 2002 GameCube racer called Tube Slider.
Ummm... really? A bunch of executives signed off to mass produce this, and not one raised eyebrow??

So now I'm getting all these Amazon emails saying "Updated on your Tube Slider (and 3 other item) order" and "Your Tube Slider is on the way!" and I'm doing my best Austin Power impersonation. "That's not mine! I don't even know what that is! It's not my bag baby!"

Anyway after I review that I think I should put together a special page for games with bad names. I can tell you that Irritating Stick for the PS1 will definitely make the list! Feel free to chime in with other suggestions.

Here is a tongue twister and it is actually a really good game, perhaps one of the best shooters on the Genesis.

Gaiares

Pronunciation? Beats the heck out of me, I roll with "Guy Are Ease".

Little Samson (NES) - The name probably hurt sales because people were expecting a lousy religious game.

Xexyz (NES)

Sagaia (Genesis) - They could have just gone with Darius rather than changing the title to this.

Name This Game (Atari 2600)

Spanky's Quest (SNES) - The main character is "Spanky the Monkey." Um, yeah.

Slap Fight (arcade) - It's just a shooter. Unfortunately it's not a fighting game where opponents slap each other.

Lightening Force (Genesis) - Hey, it's a force that lightens stuff. Lightening Force.

We've done this before: https://videogamecritic.com/forums/view ... it=pokemon

Name This Game (Atari 2600)
And yet Going Under, the name which won the contest, is oddly fitting...

I nominate Lochjaw. (Atari 2600)

Here's one I recently saw on the Switch eshop:

Sigi: A Fart for Melusina.

It's hard to top that one, but Lightening Force just might. Thanks to one letter, the name went from kick ass to incredibly lame.
