Pleiades for the Atari 2600. Not only is it hard to spell, I have no idea on how to pronounce it. Not to mention I've no sweet clue what it means as well..

These are great suggestions guys. This list may be longer than I first thought!
Names can be bad for a variety of reasons. Keep them coming.

Re: Bad game names
Pretty much most of the Atari VCS games that Sears renamed and put out in their department stores. Some examples include Tank Plus, which is better known as Combat, and Pong Sports, which is also known as Video Olympics. Heck, even the name they gave their knock off VCS console was pretty lame. I mean, the Tele-Games System???? Come on! They must have took all of two seconds to think up these names, and it shows.

I got another one. Star Ship for the Atari 2600. I've no idea on how good or bad this game is. But that title is just beyond generic, and it dosen't exactly inspire me to find it and try it myself..

Always thought Hydlide was an awful name.
Richard Scarry isn't scary at all.
Genesis 6 Pack won't give you a six pack (or abs or beer).
Is Ecco pronounced like 'Echo' (since dolphins use echolocation) or 'Eco' (as in ecology)
Samurai Shodown? Is that a Shogan joke?
F Zero sounds like Epic Fail. Who programs a game and calls it F Zero?

Space Megaforce just sounds generic as hell. I hear it's actually a really good game, but Super Aleste sounds much better.
Oh, and Wild Woody.
And Punky Skunk.

Definitely. I mean, there must be at least 30 games in their extensive library that has the word "space" in the title. Probably even more...

Well, Space was 1) More exciting then because people remembered putting a man on the moon and all the fun in the 1970s like the Six Million Dollar Man (the last Apollo moon astronaut), the Soyuz Apollo docking, and Skylab falling back to Earth 2) Space needs no background, 4) Space is The Future and no one says "That's not how a spaceship really looks/moves" and 5) Space had a long origin in gaming already with game like Space War and Super Star Trek.
