I agree. Stick with handhelds. The 2600 handheld is great in this situation. I'm sick as hell too. Other than that drink water and nap.

The one year I get the damn flu shot is the one year I'm sick as hell.

Feeling any better? And "sick day games" have any crossover appeal with "snow day games"?

We got a foot of snow in Maryland! I love when snow days and sick days collide.

Now playing Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge for Xbox 360. Damn this disc is loud. Fortunately it's muffled by the sound of my snowmobile engine.

Wipeout Omega Collection on PSVR, which helps me get more sick.

RPGs and strategy games (Koei, etc.) are my medicine of choice when I'm sick, but I know they're not generally up the Critic's alley.

Still, a nice mediocre, mindless RPG can be the perfect thing, especially if you can watch TV at the same time. It won't work if you're feeling absolutely flattened, but then nothing really does when you're that sick.

Dr. Mario and Microsurgeon were good choices!
I'd like to add:
Trauma Center (Wii or DS)
Surgeon Simulator (PS4)
Theme Hospital (PS1)
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Genesis)
