I think the VGC tried to get one before Christmas, and couldn't.  They sold out too fast.  Anyway, I am pretty sure he's still getting one when he can, right VGC?

I think they are pretty easy to find, I have been in Gamestop about twice in the last week and they had them in stock. I think if you look hard enough you'll find one. Good luck!

I haven't seen the buggers anywhere, I expect this will change in about a week though.

I've been keeping an eye out for a Wii (and PS3 for that matter) for a month, but no cigar.  Rest assured when I see one on the shelf I will dive head first for it.

I saw PS3s at Target. There were about 3 of them.

I saw a 60 GB PS3 at my Wal-Mart. In light of the recent armed robberies and shootings it made me say "wow".

I wish it was that easy here.  They are nowhere to be found, and I have 2 clients and one friend who have me on the hunt for them.  One client is a 50+ year old woman who says her husband wants one for Wii Sports Golf, cause they played it at their son's house and he loved it.  That's definitely one new customer for Nintendo that would not normally be interested.

You are right Paul, everybody from 10 till 65 will have a Wii b/c Wii Sports will do what no other Mario game has been able to accomplish..put a Nintendo system in every home in the WORLD!!!!!!! I am going to get my 75 year old Dad a Wii b/c I am sure that is what he wants!!!! I am sure he will love SuperMario in Hell, Mario Party 65, Wario World...the 10th edition, Metriod Prime to the tenth!

I am just kidding around but the 2007 lineup looks extremely unimpressive unless you like your N franchises. So when is the next Zelda coming out?

I haven't actually seen any Nintendo Wiis in stores myself (besides the one I waited in line for), but I have seen a couple of PS3s.  I think by March both systems will be easier to find.

As for the lineup, I think that Shawn is right...The Wii is looking good if you want all your Nintendo Franchises (which I don't mind), but the 3rd party stuff is looking weak.

With the runaway success that the Wii has been I expect there to be many more new games announced for the system in the upcoming months.  Nintendo was able to push about 4 million units worldwide and by spring time they are expected to be anywhere from 7-11 million.  Thats almost half of the total gamecubes that were sold.  When you have a large install base, 3rd party software follows.  If things continue it should be a better year for Nintendo than people are used to.
