You know what Alienblue, BOO YOU! Family Guy sucks. Peter is much more lazier than Homer. There is too many flashbacks that interrupt the plot. The plots are just stupid. Even then, both Family Guy and the Simpsons have made fun of each other since 2000. Simpsons episode: Missionary: Impossible Someone did not want Family Guy on. 2002 or 03 Treehouse of Horror: One of the Homer clones is Peter. Family Guy making fun of the Simpsons: Mother Tucker, there is a flashback of commericials the Simpsons did in the 1990s, only with Brian (butthead) and Stewie being like Bart. The next one I think: Peterotica: The Griffins look like the way the Simpsons were when The Simpsons were a series of shorts. The last one: PTV. Stewie rides his bike (A.K.A. The Naked Gun In one part he runs over Homer. That may be a plagarising thing for that 1998 Treehouse of Horror.

Alienblue, sorry. I say Family Guy aint bad but I really love The Simpsons. It's just Family Guy is more adult like than Simpsons. I mean, the show is a hit but nobody liked it. When it was revived, it got high ratings. The beginning of PTV is funny especially the people getting hit except Homer. That fishing debt episode was funny in the spring break parts. Okay... Family Guy is good but not as good as the Simpsons.

Oh no, crucifying my all time favorite show, eh?! While I would agree that the Simpsons lost their initial charm after the 7th/8th season, there have still been some absolutely HILARIOUS episodes and even seasons! While no season has been consistently GREAT, most of them have been really good and entertaining. I picked up the 9th season a few weeks ago and while it has some weaker episodes(King of the Hill being one of them), it also had some of my all-time favorites(Trash of the Titans, The City of New York Vs. Homer Simpson, Bart Carny, etc.). Come on, how many shows have been great after 8 seasons? How many shows are even GOOD after four seasons? The fact that there are hilarious episodes within the 9th season, 13th season, 15th season, and so on tells me that no show is perfect, but some shows really are great. I used to love Family Guy but I believe that show relies too heavily on ridiculous flashback sequences. It has some really funny bits(I did love the Peteoria episode), but I don't see the show going the distance. At least the Simpsons evolved over the course of several seasons. The first two seasons of the Simpsons are practically unwatchable and each season afterwards offered it's own flavor, at least for the first several seasons.

Shawn, I don't think the show "jumped the shark" in 1995, I believe it jumped the shark in 1997 or 1998, when the 9th season was starting. The 8th season was a great season while the 9th is merely....good. Mind you, it's just my opinion but I believe the show still has a bit of juice left.

I prefer South Park and King of the Hill.  I can say that, even though both South Park games sucked royally.

Yeah, the Simpsons started to go downhill in the 7th season and hasn't been that good at all since the 8th season.  It used to be my favorite show, but now it's just painful to watch.

You're a season off. The 8th season is still great, and the 9th season has a few good episodes (the New York episode is the last great episode). Anything past that is awful.

I guess the 8th season is okay, but to me it's just not that great when compared to the episodes in its prime (which I consider to be seasons 3 - 6).
